He even celebrated the 5 year anniversary of his video on his Facebook earlier this month. It was even better watching it in person. I think that was a time when tw was at is max popularity.

 

it is amazing that tw has almost been around for ten years.

 

Yeah I popped up here in 09. Didn't post much just did a bunch of meets. It's wild that this forum has been here that long.

I'm happy to have left NorCal and be in SoCal to say the least. I want to get out and hit some dirt. I just moved here two weeks ago and finally have a day off from work tomorrow so where would be a good place relatively close to the Downey area ?

Also selling my tailgate that's in good condition. asking 150 $ and with some good old spray paint you can customize it to color match your taco haha pm me if interested

 

Welcome to socal. A local spot I haven't been too for you is some spot in Azusa at the base of the foothills. It's 4x4 only so that is why I haven't been there. Someone will chime in with some better detail.

Going further away is Gorman or Lucerne Valley. Hour or so away depending on traffic. Gorman is fireroad type ohv area and some 4x4. Lucerne Valley is full on desert prerunning to the most advanced rock formations to climb. Going further (1- 3 hours away) you have ocotillo wells, barstow, big bear, idyllwild, superstition, Plaster city and mojave desert.

I like 4x4 stuff here and there but mainly just attempting to haul ass and do donuts everywhere I go haha. I noticed there's a few other threads up but not much info on there when I glanced for a few seconds on the next meet and greet? You guys have any coming up? I gotta check out some of your builds they look sweet and make new some new amigos haha

 

Welcome Alex!Mike hooked you up with some great info.Some of us are putting together a Big Bear camping trip at the end of Sept.(25th-27th).If the camping trip doesn't happen a possible Big Bear day trail trip on Sat.Sept.26th may occur.Check out the "Rancho Cucamonga Roll Call"thread.Although i'm not from that area i've met some really cool people from that area from trail meets(Big Bear),brewery,and food meets etc.
