Toyota is more American than many American makes and models. Besides I test drove an F150. Felt like driving my couch around. Too dammmmmmmm B I G.... I know big 4W trucks is the SC "Lexus" But I am happy with the Taco

I think you misread my statement. Ford makes the most "American" truck by most definitions, but I could give two poops or less that it is. I own a Mexican made Tacoma after all lol. It does bug me slightly though when, for whatever reason, people state a Tacoma is more American than an F150 in terms of parts and build simply because it's not true.

In the end buy what you want. Don't worry about the buy American thing because with Global economics it doesn't play out the way most people think it does.

I wasn't commenting directly to you, just people in general who pull the "traitor" card because people drive Toyotas.

Saw this...and even though I am long time "Toyota Guy" thought it was funny.

Tell ya, I was the first in the family to buy a Toyota...and this is when Toyotas were still built in Japan...man, did I get a hard time about it. Now...most of my family now own Toyotas after seeing me have such good luck with them.

Honestly...I rather have my Toyotas built in Japan...

Just look how Americans freak out in natural disasters....hurricane hits here, people loose their minds...tsunami hits the land of the rising sun...and a nuclear meltdown...the Japanese remain calm and very orderly...the says a lot about the culture.

I parked my Tacoma beside my buddy's F150 just to see the size difference...the F150 is HUUUUGE.

you think a regular F150 looks big, you should see a FTX F150. the bodywork makes them look even bigger, perception wise :)

We went and test drove all the fullsizes awhile back...the wife said they are just too damn dig, we aren't big people..she is 5'4" and me 5'8"...feels like there is a football field in between us, darn near need walkie talkies to converse with each other...we just kinda laughed.

I dunno, the Tacomas feel like the perfect size to me.

Those FTX's are gaudy...good lord! "Nice truck! Sorry about your penis..."

They also have a suicide rate that will make your head spin. Their culture is totally different, better in someways than a typical western culture and worse in others.

Anyone remember the GM Starcraft propane truck. A friend of mine had one in highschool :puke:. I can't find a picture of it but theirs was puke brown and came with a fiberglass body kit, cheap wood dash, and everything on that Lund truck. All with the starcraft logo plastered on it.

Funny thing is his parents used to brag up it's rarity. It was rare for a reason lol.
