New to these trucks, have tried searching, but am apparently webtarded. bring up a lot of " I got mine" and "Oh thats cool " very few of actual install and or hole location.

finding that 2nd gen DC trucks may or may not have existing holes in the roof for a roof rack, is this correct ?

I'm not scared to peel the strips, just haven't had the chance yet, I've had this thing for all of 4 weeks and other things have been more pressing.

All the trucks have the holes available for roof racks.

So the pics of other than factory racks mounted do have 5 existing threaded holes in the roof per side ?

    cool, something to ponder.

    Thanks

Every 2nd gen DC has the holes in the roof. They're under some painted foam tape, which is under the black strips. I installed a used OEM rack a few months back and the bolts went right in once I cut the tape away.

Just make sure if you're installing an OEM rack that the mastic washers sit well, otherwise you'll have leaks. I ended up replacing them with neoprene washers from Home Depot, as the old ones were MIA after previous owner lost them.

    5 Holes pre-drilled per side.

I've got a FrontRunner Vehicle Outfitters on mine.

OEM rack, I think it's mainly for looks, haven't really seen anyone mount stuff on it, but it doesn't feel strong enough to handle a lot of weight.

Nice stance? Is that just larger tires on no lift? What are the specs? And where do you get that TRD grille emblem from?

Dropitmore: what size wheel spacers? I'm torn between 1.25" and 1.5". Any thoughts?

I'm running 1.25", it's just subtle enough, but changes the overall look significantly. I love how my stance turned out. Depending on the size lift you have or go with, I would imagine 1.5" would be overkill.
