    Jeff,

Since the Canadian TRD models come standard with Homelink, do you by chance have the part number of the Homelink rear view they are using or the Homelonk rear view from the US Limited.

I'd like to see if they are interchangeable.

    Thanks!

Wait - the rearview doesn't have Homelink? WTF? All my other Toyotas have it.

My 2005 Nissan had homelink standard.

I don't understand WTF Toyota is doing.

No power steats or long bed in the Limited.

No Homelink or leather in the TRD Sport.

Just let people add what ever they want to pay for in their trucks. Especially if it's a dealer or port installed option that doesn't slow down factory manufacturing.

No idea. Typically something like that is a factory-option and the accessory option is different, likely something along the lines of the accessory one offered for the 2015.

The factory one will likely be muchos dollars. Way, way more than if you ordered the truck with it.

    ^^^ this

I am hoping there is some mistake on the lack of Homelink on everything but the LTD - that seems like pretty standard fare everywhere else these days

    It make sense from Toyota.

In Canada, you can't open your garage door with out Homelink so it should be standard.

In the US, we're privileged Americans, and don't deserve more than we already get.

What I don't understand is that Toyota eliminated models and options to increase production and streamline their manufacturing. But they turn around and eliminate options between trim levels and even between trim levels going to two different countries as if making all those changes on a micro level increases production.

I would think it even saves money buying in bulk using the same mirror in every SR5 and up across the US and Canada.

I just don't get what Toyotas Sales and Marketing team are doing with this gen3.

    Jeff,

Are the skid plates new part numbers? or are the old 2nd gen carried over (and indicating the bolt pattern for skids is the same and 2nd gen aftermarket skids would fit). Thanks.

The factory skid plates on the 2016 are the same as the 2015, however the bumpers are obviously different, so the aftermarket stuff might not be as compatible.

I kinda get the electric seats. Especially for off road models. I mean, manual adjustment is way quicker. Every time I vacum out my wife's honda it's like waiting an eternity (she is short) for the thing to go all the way back.

But I am really dissapointment with the homelink missing. This was one of the features I really wanted.

How do you add qi wireless charging, heated seats, hoods scoop (just kidding), keyless start, navigation, and not have homelink? Just doesn't make sense.
