    Correct. No real swivel mechanism. A pipe welded onto the plate that slides into another pipe welded onto the trailer with a pin(bolt) through it to hold in place. Cheap and simple.

    So you pull the pin, swivel it out, and then put the pin back in? Looks like a nice simple solution.

    My trailer is a low boy, so it's already lower than that deck over, but I'm considering putting one of these on each side.

    Exactly how it works. They are cheapasses so wouldn't have wanted to pay for a fancy step design or anything.


    Your solution looks nice however. Will you be able to mount them without messing up that nice powdercoat job on your trailer?

    That's yet to be seen. I need to actually have the trailer in my possession for longer than a few hours to figure it out. I'll have some quality time with it here in a couple of days. :D

    Oh, and that set of steps costs $45.00. I didn't realize they were that cheap.
