    Damn..7 hours. No thanks!

    So how exactly do you do this? Curious since i see my light on the tent on still in it, but i turned that off early on. Do you merge the photos or only merge the sky area? Since i would have thought you could use the photos not right from the beginning with all the lights to set the foreground?

    haha..yea..well..should have only been about 4..but i fucked up the first time..so i had to start over. That didn't help. Hoping they go faster as i do them.

    I shoot a foreground photo before i start the stars themselves. I did that when you had the tent lit up and i did light painting with my flashlight.

    Then i shoot 100-200 photos for the stars. I only used 61 frames for the stars. I stack them on top of each other and do a few things to make the "comet" effect. Which takes forever..

    Then i take the foreground and cut out the sky and put it on top of the stars and blend it together as best i can and bam! Easy right? :p i think its worth it. I know at least one or two other will be pretty cool too.

    What star is that in the very center? Is that Polaris?

    Yes it is,from what he told me while we discussed it some those nights. Makes it so the stars have a central rotating point in the photo otherwise they would go up/down compared to the horizon.

    Yea using Polaris as a center is key for those. You can get some great effects by not doing it though but all of mine or sort of made with polaris at the center..or at least pointed toward it.

    So i am think a quick timelapse video would be cooler. Even if its only 5 seconds long. Maybe i'll do a big one will all the photos..
