    Ramon,
Now that I see the price...I'm still confused. Does this kit from Yotamac 10FT leads or 4FT leads? The 10FT leads is listed as $200, while the 4FT kit is $180. On your first post, you list it as 10FT cables, but then you said it's $180 for RTMR. If it is for 10FT leads @ $27 discount, that's $153, but the power cables is another $20. So it's $173...again is this for 4FT or 10FT?

The ebay link I shown before...for $115 has this:

    • 3 Foot of wire for all Circuits. 8 AWG Battery Power, 14 AWG Ground (For Relay Triggers ONLY), 12 AWG Switched From Relay, 18 AWG Relay Coil Switch.
    • High Temperature Cross Linked TXL wire. Not standard Cheap Parts Store Hook Up Wire that will Melt when soldered!
Power cables included, but only 3FT leads.

So the only con is 3FT leads...kinda short....if this group buy is for 4FT leads...@ $173 vs $115...still not a good value. If it's 10FT and has the power cables and the raptor pro 180 main circuit breaker thrown in...then $173+ would make it a good deal. BTW, your previous comment the the EBAY didn't come with a mounting plate...the picture shows the mounting plate...so have to check with the seller if it's included.

I'm just trying to compare apples to apples for this group buy. I don't mean to incite anger or frustration. I just want this to be a good group buy and entice more folks if the thing listed as a true package. What's the point of buying RTMR without the power cables? Thanks again for doing all this.

Bought the one on eBay a while back cause I'm impatient lol. But the seller does offer support and included his email for answering any questions. Nice little package.

On a side note I haven't heard back from Tacomapros/Yotamac on buying switchbacks seperately...I might just make my own :(

The mounting plate is included from the seller on eBay, what everyone else is saying is that the eBay auction includes a GENERIC mount, whereas this groupbuy is for a CUSTOM bracket made specifically for our Tacomas, so no need to fab yourself a mount that is plug in play thru the groupbuy.

Yes, you are right. It comes with a mounting bracket. Keep in mind, this is a generic mounting bracket that has not been proven to be installed on the Tacoma. Can you make it work? Maybe. That's your call.

The bracket that this fuse box comes has been proven to work with 4runners and tacomas with no issues at all, at a common location, with factory holes already there. (same spot, but on driver's side, 3rd 4runner spot shown):

There is a reason why the harness is only four feet long: There are two locations where you can locate switch panels, at the sunglasses holder and the pocket below the AC controls (with the @Iggy. panel).

If you want your switches at the pocket below the AC controls, you will need a seven foot total wiring harness (four feet already included +3 feet, +$10).

If you want your switches at the sunglasses holder, you will need a ten foot total wiring harness (four feet already included +6 feet, +$20).

In regards to the circuit breaker:

Why would you need a circuit breaker? Each circuit is already fused, no need to add a breaker to a fused system.

Does your stock, OEM Tacoma fuse box have a circuit breaker from the factory?

    Nope.

Then again, if you want one, that's your call :)

If you are anxious, or are fabricator savy, then maybe Ebay is the way to go. If you don't want to make you're own bracket, or don't want to deal with finding the resources, then this group buy is for you.

I wanted a main breaker for the oh crap or I need to shut down an entire section...main on/off switch. The ebay listing shows power cables included...this does not...it's another $20. Your original post still so 10 ft long wires...so what is it for the $180 -27 (discount) 10 ft wire or 4 ft wire? Again...there's the $20 for power cables from the RTMR to battery. Ebay listing shows it included. So the price is $173 vs $115.

If the RTMR is installed in engine bay...I'm not sure if 4 ft wires is long enough.

BTW the same raptor 140 main breaker that Yotamac sells for $30. It sells for less than $20 on Amazon and Ebay:

    http://www.amazon.com/RAPTOR-R5CB14...e=UTF8&qid=1440580690&sr=8-2&keywords=R5CB140

And if you want an equivalent there are cheaper ones that sells for $9 shipped.

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/CNS-CB140-1...b07f180&pid=100005&rk=1&rkt=6&sd=320543251372

So I don't get these 30% mark ups. It's supposed to be a group buy...where is the discount. If this is a business, you buy volume and then you sell making a profit, I get that, but if the competitor is selling much less for the price of one versus a group buy price...something isn't right.

Ramon, I know you are helping creating all these group buys and I really appreciate it, but I see some problems I like to address, because I think these are fair questions.

That's a definite value added...so the default then is to install in the engine bay. For most this would be okay and worth the extra charge because of the mounting. But then the price you pay, you still need to buy the extra $20 for the power wires that should be included in this RTMR. So you are still at $173 for the power wires and RTMR...but if you want to run all the 7 lead cabs into the cab, is 4ft enough to install say an amplifier under the seat? I say no...you need longer cables...so it's extra money. So if the group buy is for 10ft plus power cables and the custom mounting plate for $173 vs $115...it makes sense because the 10FT you can cut to length what you need per connection and the custom mount means no extra work.

Personally myself, I want to install the RTMR in the cab somewhere, so I don't need that mounting plaet. The reason? Most of the electronics are inside the cab. Why should I try to run 5 times or 6 times the 7 lead cables through the firewall, when I can run just 1 fat 4 gauge or 0 gauge wire into the firewall and then have the 7 lead cables go where they may... 4ft maybe enough...it may not be even in the cab.

So I like to know if this kit is for 10FT wire or 4 ft wire for the $180 - 27 discount price for RTMR?

Per my last post, as mentioned, it is four feet.

If you're going to mount the fuse box in the cab, then looks like the ebay box would be your best choice.

I don't mind the questions at all, they're legit.
    Good luck bud. :)

I just received it the end of last week so haven't actually gotten around to install. That, and I am talking to Yotamac about switchbacks so I'd rather just do it all at once. I plan on installing a quick disconnect for the switch panel too.

But yeah it's definitely going to be a custom mount of some sort. There's a few ways I could go about doing it but I haven't decided yet.

The only thing I don't look forward to is routing the switch wires through the firewall.

By the way is there a way to ask about switch backs for switches that fit into the empty switch slots that the Tacoma have? Thanks.

You want a circuit breaker or fuse to protect the fuse/relay block to protect the overall box from an internal short or from combined overload. The Bussmann RTMR is rated at 80 amps. You have the potential to overload the internal busses if you exceed this amount. With five circuits, you could easily do this with five 20amp circuits.

You're correct in saying that the OEM fuse block doesn't have a circuit breaker. However, it does have a fuse. In my Tacoma with the towing package, its rated at 140amps.

I plan to add an 80amp breaker before the relay just to be on the safe side of things. If the oem fuse panel starts a fire and makes my truck extra crispy then Toyota will be eating that but if my mod causes a fire or shorts out something its all on me.
As for everyone price checking. anything that can be done to your truck will be cheaper if you spend the time to do it. hell you can buy leds and solder circuits together for a light bar. Its all about how hard you want to make the install vs how cheap. For me money has no value but my free time is priceless........and Im a broke ass SOB

I will always choose professional quality over cheapest bid and 5x longer install time and headaches

Yotamac Fuse panel + custom mounting plate =$153 free shipping
Iggy switch plate = $ 38 free shipping. tacomapros switchbacks. =$ 30 vote for free shipping
    Total of =$ 221
I will be fine spending this for a packaged GB but I do agree it's not a smoking deal.
Free shipping will complete the GB in my opinion and if you buy everything like I am battery leads should be thrown in for free ;)

    You are correct.

I need to get in touch with tacomapros and see how long they want to run the GB after the two weeks have expired.

Then ill ask mods to post it on the front page.

I'm leaning more towards my DIY. This way I have control of what I want (how far to run each connection). If I can find a RTMR that's smaller than the bussmann then I will...I found another littlefuse RTMR. That box maybe smaller. $50 is less than my time as well, but 4ft won't cut it for me if I have to mount it somewhere further away and not in the engine bay. I don't know how you guys/gals are going to route all those 7 leads times 5 into the cab and also still have enough wire. If you buy from the group buy, I suggest you pay more and get the 10FT version. This group buy is good for those who can't solder or have crimping tools.

My plan is to then buy or wire it up myself and verify it on a bench. I use a bench power supply for the main power and verify each connection before you install everything. I'd reconsider if it was the 10FT version and came with the provide cables to the battery as well. So remove me from the list for now. Thank you.

you may have a valid point here.

the circuit breakers are to be installed at user's discretion :)
