Nah, he has a kid. Can't "allow" him to die or become brain dead(er :D).

You on the other hand (single, no kids),,, may be allowed. :boink:

Damn it! Now I have to pull back my post. I hate it when that happens!

OK, Phil, you will not be allowed to die or become brain dead.

That's what you get for posting all those shirtless snapchats of you laying in bed.

Always wear your gear when riding. Every time I see a squid I feel sad for them.

Get a mountain bike. It's cheaper and safer IMO.

rich I've been riding for a while, over 10 years and I would suggest you start on a mini bike, no joke, then go to a small dirt bike and ride trails for at least a year..

The man has a very good point. Personally, I have never ridden dirt, except the occasional gravel road. But, dirt riding gives you some great riding skills, like; how to fall, when riding dirt you will go down and will learn how to fall and minimize your hurt; you will also get used to the feel of the bike moving around underneath you. Usually don't get these street riding.

What does conflict though is learning to brake. On the dirt, it's mainly back brake, on the street it's mainly front brake. Learning to modulate front/back is most definitely something that has to be learned and practiced. Lock up the rear on the street and you will probably low-side it. Lock it up, then release it, you will probably high-side it.
