I locked the rear on the highway once, kept it locked and slid to a stop. I got lucky .. heh.

That's good. I locked mine on a city street once, though I was smart enough to know that while the rear was locked it was sliding straight so I released it, next thing I know I am barrel rolling down the street. Not lucky, just stupid!

I've done the same. Had to change my boxers afterwards.

Benefit of boxers, you just have to shake the chunks out. :D

So if they lock and your sliding straight keep them locked? I've never had the brakes lock on me before

If you're street riding and the rear brake locks, ride it out. If you unlock the rear brake, the tire will catch and will fling you over the top, a high-side. Ride it out, either it stays straight enough and you stop, or you low-side it.

OR, find a bike with linked brakes and ABS. This doesn't negate the need to learn, but can cover up errors in emergency situations.

    Hmm.

    Hmm. Felicia the slut?

Two lightening strikes took it out. Maybe one will bring it back.

    Hmm. Kinda erotic.

    Hmm. Anti erotic.

There is a member here with that screen name. I laugh every time I see it.

    Morning.

    Wth?

    She doesn't like Thais.

I kind of agree, but if people are going to take the MSF/BRC course on their own bike like I did, I can support that as well. It's a hell of a difference between a two fiddy and something larger.

    Been that way since 2006?

They're the standard bike for the beginner's course. Ragged out and abused like Rhianna, but they're still fun as hell.

I don't know if Rhianna is though.

    Hmm. Highly erotic.

    No.

Yep. If dodging distracted drivers is a PITA while driving a car, its much much worse riding a bike.

    Excellent.

I know that's right. Been contemplating selling the bikes altogether or just riding track for that very reason.

    Oh but they are.

    The hell? Jesus.

    Damn man, ow. :(

Always been a Suomy fan myself. Arai helmets tend to fit my head well, but Suomy fits perfectly. Super comfortable too.

Tell that to cruiser riders, especially those who ride HD, while you're at it.

    Wife?

    Dooo eeeet.

    Super motard action.

Why? It's their choice to be idiots. When I worked as an EMT I scooped up the hamburger meat and popped mellon remains of squids who were too cool for gear. Plenty of their passengers were goners too. Nothing like seeing a dead curb monkey wearing heels.

I'll tell ya, dirt bikes make me nervous. The power to weight ratio is impressive.

I've had to pick my seat out from between my butt cheeks on more than one occasion. That loss of control is what lead me to buy the ABS model of my RR (CBR600 RA)

I love my C-ABS. I know there are some drawbacks with ABS when riding on the track or doing triple posted speed limit through the twisties with regards to some of the more advanced braking techniques, but for riding the on the streets, ABS is crucial.

No, jacks quotes usually sums everything up for me. That way I don't have to go back 10 pages

Interesting, I remember hearing that term in college, but now we have a historian software from a company called Capstone.
