During a normal slow down at a stop light my abs came on at about 20 miles per hour. i felt the vibe on gas pedal. no lights on instrument panel.

When the light turns green I slowly stepped on the gas pedal and a dasboard light came on showing slippery icon.

The road was not wet and there was nothing on the road that I can see.

    tires and brakes good.

    Has this happened to anyone?

Only time mine kicks in during dry conditions is during a sharp turn that I took too fast.

one possibility is you have tire size mis match

all 4 tires the same make model and wear ? tire pressures close ? one sensor is seeing a wheel/tire moving differently from the others.

Sounds possibly like a bad ABS sensor.

Just put on a new tire on rear passenger that is different than other 3. put on a bridgestone 684II and the other 3 are bridgestone 840. the other three have even wear at about 8/32 (i know the 8 is right) and the 684II tire has brand new thread.

    All tire pressure the same.

yep, one tire of different design can screw the whole system.

ABS is still looking for the sync of all the tone rings, only in your case the one odd size tire is making the system think it's braking faster on that wheel( a taller tire will turn slower over the same distance than a smaller tire which appears to be loss of traction) Here is where your ABS and Traction Control are having an issue.

There is some variance allowed, the odd size tire is enough of a variation that it triggers a response.
