I'll pick up a set of moogs and run those till I find something for a uniball, I'll see if I can find anything, no names off the top of the head?

Solo makes one for their spindles. Dirt Designs makes one for their kit.
But this obsession with uniball lowers is fucking retarded on a first gen. Replace the ball joints every once in a while along with the 4 bolts and you'll never have a problem.
And I wouldn't use moogs for anything but trail spares.

yeah, why would anyone want to ever get rid of a ball joint? just keep spares. also keep spare brake lines, banjo fittings, uca uniball/bolt/misalignments, fenders, tierods, possibly a spare rack, and about 30lbs of zip ties/duct tape.

Read what I wrote Jeff. I said I don't understand the obsession. The lower ball joints are plenty strong for the weekend warriors. All the failures I've seen were pre-recall LBJ's, gobs of miles on the LBJs, loose LBJ bolts (even the FSM calls for loctite), or total garbage LBJ bolts.
I didn't advocate that a uniball wasn't stronger, but you can bet your ass it's more work and more money. And considering the recent conversations asking about how to build a bed cage, safe to say nobody's going to be fabricating a lower uniball adapter. If there was an actual demand for the product, don't you thing one of major players would have already developed an adapter by now?

I change my lower bj every few years. Still haven't had it pop out in the desert. I don't jump my truck more than a few feet hard pack.

Part of the problem is the stock spindle where the bolts thread into over time don't hold like they use to. Those 4 bolts seem to be more of a problem then the lbj's themselves. So even if u get a uniball adapter made its still those four bolts and stock spindle that can get u.

I guess I agree with Jason. Oem lbj would be best, that said I had no issues with my moogs and I like to think I tested them pretty good. Maybe not quite to te "Jberry-destructo" level but dam close lol

Trac told me they were going to get on it, and I think LSK said they would look into it. But that was a while back.

just got a simple lift on her
    in bold agreed 100%.

Also, unless you plan on being a race truck, or acting like one at all times possible for a very long time, you wont have a problem with the LBJ.. so i guess i agree with Jason as well.

just make sure you check those LBJ bolts every time you go out.

    just my .02

Been through 2 ball joints. Mild running both times. Took break lines and fenders with it both times. No gracias.

Well, it's absolutely the same despite make, model ect. I've fixed chevys and ford's with balljoint failures. Not my cup of tea. I'll never build another set up that uses a balljoint. Upper, or lower. I don't have faith in them for anything other than slow trail riding. No big deal though.

Opinions.....diamond axle will build a full float, 4 runner disc braked, ebrake, chromoly axles, 66" wide, while I can utilize my third member with the elocker. $3000. Better than $4500+ from currie. He said there are better 3rd's out there but the tacoma is pretty good. Might need to save my lunch money.

    Comments, suggestions?

^^^^ yeah but isn't your elocker an 8". Most 8" diff don't last long with how hard you'll want to push it. Most run a 8.4 or bigger.

8" is still a weak link, even an 8.4 is still weaker then a ford 9"

    This.
And, a Toyota "8.4" (really called a T100/Tundra/Non-trd) is still an 8" ring gear. Same size as the elocker. Just a slightly stronger carrier.
