Thanks guys, it's two part I guess? The Taco is getting a legit rear armor setup courtesy of the fabricators at All-Pro (and my checkbook)!

I'm a slacker at keeping my builds up to date but I do have a good bit of info up on Expedition Portal under this thread.

I'm changing my tire size and have been looking at different sizes. Are you still running 265/75r16's? How do you like that tire size?

Like that double swing out. What I have been thinking of doing. Any more pics of it? From the inside maybe? The welds from these pics look nice. What do you think?

I really wanted to get to an Overland festival but between my fiancé having a rough year and other plans made on the dates of two festivals in mind it wasn't possible this year.

I'm still running them and pleased with on road and offroad performance. I'd like to have gone one size up (same width, slightly taller) but Duratrac didn't come in that size. I did have minor rubbing at full lock with the front stuffed but pulling the front mudflaps took care of the issue. Performance is hardly effected though I plan to eventually go to 4.10's when I do ARB's.

Fab quality is top notch and appears to have had a lot of thought put into it. I'll try to snap some pics in the next few evenings for you.

I'm a little bummed about the fab time though as I order the bumper with hitch on 7/2 and am still waiting on the hitch to arrive. From what I understand it'll be arriving tomorrow so I'll be able to get the paint prep and paint done this weekend with any luck and get the whole deal mounted up next weekend. Tracy from All-Pro has been very easy to work with on the whole transaction but I was really hoping to have had the whole setup mounted up for my 8/13 - 8/16 trip to PA but no dice. That said, I would definitely recommend All-Pro products if you're in the market

Bummer man, I'd have liked to have seen your rig in person over a few beers

You missed a good event too, the property that the Henwood's have is beautiful and the Bald Eagle area has some great trails to cruise on. What other festival were you looking at? Expo East in October?

    Nice. Thanks for the info.
Sorry about the wait. :( bummer.
The reason for the inside pics is I was wondering about "shelves" in there that the mud and dirt could sit on.
    Thanks again. Safe travels.

Roger that, I'll try to get some shots for you. I will say that the fabrication is stout with some sizable material used in stress areas around the swing hinges. I know the bumper I fabbed for my Bronco II is sturdy but it does get some torsional twist in it with the tire swingout opened. I don't think the All-Pro will have any of that!

So far as the wait goes don't let it sway you; I know I'll feel better about the whole deal when the install is done and All-Pro gave me a good deal at the original purchase and warned that fab may not have been completed in time for my trip. I just had my hopes up haha.

Yea I bet! Overland Expo East indeed. My fridge is covered in wedding invites and one of them happens to be that weekend.
I plan on continuing the truck build with no big trips planned this year in hopes of not having alot of mods next year :anonymous: and focusing on trips!

There are some nj meets brewing. Do you venture in the njbs thread? https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/nj-b-s-thread.274779/page-1441

A few buddies and I were going to hit Expo East this year too but it doesn't look like that'll play out with other conflicts - maybe next year?

Keep the build going and get out and use it man! I think your rig on the sand on the west coast is a good goal :stirthepot:

I've browsed the njbs thread a bit but the crowd posts up so often it's hard to keep up haha. I've considered hitting rausch one of these times but I'm still a little hesitant until I get some underside armor fitted with the long wheelbase. I'll have to make a real effort to hit a wrenching day to check out the local rigs.

Sorry for the delay but I think these ought to give you a good idea of the interior construction of the All-Pro unit. I'm still impressed with the thought that went into the whole design and construction as well as the overall fab quality.

There's not much in the way of a shelf that will trap too much mud, at least no worse than the stock bumper would.

The pivots are really well designed and include brass bushings instead of roller bearings/trailer spindles.

I hope to get the last of my mods done this week like cutting locations for auxiliary lighting and some other tabs for gear mounts and such. Paint prep and painting should happen this weekend and I'll get it mounted up for some after shots!
