I will say that the tires were rubbing pretty good on most tight turns, kind of embarrassing sometimes. I didn't want to take off the front mud flaps but did today and it still rubs a little but not nearly as much as before.

265/70/17 Nitro Trail Grapplers. Had to remove the mud guards. I have Spidertraxx 1.25 spacers all around and the tires still rub a tad in the front on hard turns, not bad tho.

Stock...for now. Hardly any rubbing, seems only when turning and hitting tall bumps at the same time.

Also, just got back from a trip and got 19.8mpg with about 90% hwy and 30 minutes of stop and go traffic.

I have very little to add here beyond also deciding to go with a 265/75r16 tire and 16" aftermarket wheel or a 265/70r17 tire & wheel. I parked next to an FJ Cruiser today. I have stock Dunlop 265/65r17 with TRD wheels. The FJ had stock Dunlop 265/70r17 tires with FJ wheels. Our tires were about 24" apart. Seeing the two next to each other made me decide the 265/70r17 is perfect for my truck. I'm sitting on a 3/2 lift & level.

@mjbtaco a good thread to see options before investing in a lift.

I'd like to put some 285's on these stock rims after a 3" lift... Anyone know if that is possible? Or too big of a jump for too small of a wheel?

In the market for tires and this pic looks amazing. I think I may get these and probably won't regret it if I decide to lift up to 3".

    Hey Jay,

Just curious, I got the same truck but black and its a 4 cylinder and im currently running stock 245 75 16 tires, cooper discover AT3 and i am thinking about upgrading to a 265 75 16 and considering the BFG KO2 and now with my 245's im getting about 18 mpg city and just wondering if you noticed a huge difference in performance with the E rated tire and whats the gas mileage on your truck with those? Also wondering what you did with your spare and can u fit a 265 75 16 on a rim up underneath the truck?
