Why me? Am I the only one that knows how to use google?

    Tacoma wheel studs are:
    12mmx1.5 thread size
    14.2mm (0.5598 in) Knurl Diameter
40mm long (1.57") for the front studs
44.1mm (1.736") long for the rear studs

For those that are astute at basic mathematics, one would realize that all one has to do is purchase OEM or aftermarket studs for the REAR of the truck...and they'll be roughly 1/4" longer than the factory fronts. ARP's for the Lexus IS300 are awesome and all...but if you're only looking for 1/4" longer, why fork out the money for ARP. BTW ARP part number for the Lexus IS300 is 100-7715 and they are a massive 2.6" long.

In addition, ARP also makes a shorter stud originally intended for the Celica GTS. ARP 100-7718. These are 2.34" long. The knurl diameter is ever so slightly larger at .565". But put them in the freezer and they'll fit. However they are fucking expensive at $60 for a set of 5. I'd buy the longer Lexus studs and cut them before I'd buy the shorties.

Lastly...for those that want to be clever. Rear wheel studs for a 02-03 Matrix or corolla. They are 55mm long (2.165"), with the exact same knurl diameter.

Dorman (Autozone and Oreilly) as well as Napa sell replacement studs for a fraction of the cost of the ARP. Last I looked they were less than 3 bucks each.
    Go crazy here: http://www.dormanproducts.com/gsear...heel-studs&year=2002&make=Toyota&model=Tacoma
And you'll see all the specifics I've listed above as well as get part numbers you can take to your local auto parts store.

So I'm good getting a set of rear studs for the front then, AWESOME! I owe you an ice cold one when we get to wheel!

I personally would recommend the matrix studs since the factory studs are so short. Matrix studs are 1/2" longer. Given 1/4" is taken up by just spacer, you'll have 1/4" extra threads inside the lug nuts.

So after enduring the brutal Texas heat the whole year + the "oven" effect inside the cab I finally conjured the common sense to buy a denso ac compressor. I also bought some blue ngk spark plug wires and it all just shipped.

    Here's to cold air :proposetoast:

When I was driving the new to us 03 taco to work today, the check engine light came back on again. Thought replacing the vsv took care of it but apparently not. Had like 6 codes but they were all these three: PO441, PO442, and PO446. I don't know if replacing the charcoal canister or some sort of solenoid/valve will take care of it or if I'm just going to keep chasing the rabbit down the hole. Any help from you guys is much appreciated as always. Thanks.

Do you have a service manual? They have detail instructions on how to test all the solenoids attached to the vsv with nothing more than a volt meter. Also, check all of you vacuum lines, if they are cracked or damaged it can cause it too. The actual VSV has to be cracked to cause the codes, sometimes this is obvious once you get it out and look it over. Mine cracked on the bottom, had to take it out to see it. A new vsv is ~$300, camelback toyota will be your best price (including the shipping), they are an official vendor on here, so hit them up if you need to go that route.

If you figure out how to route the vacuum lines to elements the vsv and not throw codes, let me know, I would love to clear up that space.

There is a charcoal canister on top of the tank, pray it isn't that expensive PITA piece.

Picked her up from the shop and drove her for the first time in five months. I has forgotten just how slow it is compared to my Chevy, but it is better on gas.

I did. It's overbuilt and heavy though. I might build a version 3 and hand it off to a carpenter in a few years. I've been driving around with no she'll for a day. It does drive very nice with an empty bed.
