Again, definitely interested to see your install. I have never messed with sound deadening materials so I'm curious to see how it works out for you.

DSC_0060.jpg Just installed this kit into a 2015 Tacoma with the Entune Premium head unit. Install deviated slightly from the video. You have to swap your factory tweeter connector to the new tweeters, you have to cut a hole into storage bay for the sub wiring, and the fire wall routing is slightly different. In the end, the upgrade is well worth the work and price. When I was young, I spent a lot of time building big systems for my Honda's, always trying to get as much power, and component isolation as possible. It's refreshing to to install a kit that has everything sorted out, that produces quality sound. Sure it's not a competition system, but that's not what I was looking for this time around.

Mine's on the way too - expect to install this weekend. I've already got some Dynomat, so I'll end up using that to help with sound deadening. Looking forward to getting it done!

Spoke to this company over the phone. Great customer service. I read all good reviews from the scions. I was going to wait to hear some Tacoma reviews but couldn't. Hopefully it will be here by Labor Day weekend along with the sound deadening I ordered from Amazon. I'll write a review when I get it installed.

Oh I also have a 15 sienna se and when I asked if they are working on making one for that he laughed and said he is looking at the prototype as we speak. So they will soon have one for the sienna.

It sounds good...clean and crips, and much more volume and clarity then the stock system.

Yeah, Daniel is great, he actually texted me his cell phone number so I could call hime day or night if questions arose during the install. Customer service does't get much better than that.

They are a good group - I'm having an issue with the sub box fitment (I've got a 2015), and they are really helping a lot - Daniel gave me his # as well!

Stempsons, what year is your Taco? Your behind the seat box is shaped different than mine ... I think that is my issue ...

2015 as well. I had to cut a hole into the storage bay to run the wire, other than that it fits perfectly (drivers side storage area).

Man, that is just weird (on the shape of the box) - the side closest to the door on mine isn't straight, it has a zig-zag in it. I cut a hole in mine as well, that's not the issue with mine. D'OH!

Rock Lobster - they can tune the system for whatever head unit you have - you don't have to run OEM ... but given the service and quality I've seen and heard so far, I think it's $1500 WELL spent.

Finally got the OEM+ system installed over the weekend.

    Installation:

Notes (as mentioned by Stempsons on his post).

    - Factory tweeter plugs must be disassembled (pins removed) to separate the factory wiring and install the OEM+ wiring pins to it. Make sure you have the proper tool. I used a pick tool and a very small flat head screwdriver similar to the one used for removing screws on sunglasses.

    - The cable that plugs into the back of the factory radio will need to be routed under the carpet in front of the driver seat since it is not long enough to run it by the driver kick panels and under the steering column.

    - The amplifier power wires can go through the big factory firewall rubber grommet under the hood by cutting the small rubber nipple tip found under the big wires. Some sort of lubrication is necessary on the power wires to make your life easier pushing through that grommet/nipple. This grommet is located on the firewall right above the driver kick panel behind the parking brake.

    - A 1 inch hole does need to be cut on the plastic piece where the sub woofer will be installed to route subwoofer connector.

    First Listening Impressions:

NOTE: Sound Deadening was done to all 4 Doors and the wall behind the plastic cargo bins. The front door skins completely covered with the plastic moisture guard removed and big gaping holes covered with Rammat. Rear doors only got sound deadening treatment around the speaker mounting hole.

    - Clarity and volume on the Mid range and Tweeters has definitely improve by at least 75%. Vocals are much clearer, cymbals and snare drums definitely gives you that feeling where you just want to keep tapping your steering wheel while bobbing your head to the beat.

    - Mid bass response has also improved by a large margin but now you can hear some rattling at certain frequencies (this is very fixable).

    - Bass reproduction drastically improved over factory sound! However, I can tell that even with cabin gain in this truck, an 8 inch woofer with only about 125 watts is not going to be enough for "MY" own preference. It shakes the rear view mirrors for sure but I guess I was expecting it to move air like a good ole 12" woofer that I was used to.

    - The overall music reproduction of this OEM+ System is as described and advertised by this company Crisp, Clear, Clean. You will not win any SPL Competition with this rig, but for my own personal experience and enjoyment, its well worth the price of admission.
