I have pretty much your same truck and got the tsb done about a month ago. You can definitely get it, just be persistent.

Are you still under warranty? If so raise hell thats what I did to get my TSB done. (I got mine done before Toyota would cover the 08's) Good luck man.

good luck. i just got off the phone a few minutes ago with my dealership. he (javier) said to bring it in. i mentioned that my rig has 39000 miles and he said toyota warranties suspension for 60k miles, and if they determine that i need it, i am all "GO". if not, then i dont care. i just need to get a relatively decent load in the back. if i dont have issues, i am golden.

Read the TSB for yourself...it applies to 3yrs/36k miles only...it's on the bottom of page 2.
    APPLICABLE WARRANTY
    • This repair is covered under the Toyota Comprehensive Warranty. This warranty is in effect for
36 months or 36,000 miles, whichever occurs first, from the vehicle’s in-service date.
    • Warranty application is limited to correction of a problem based upon a customer’s specific
    complaint.
Also per the TSB, its based strictly on customer complaint, so you do not have to prove you have a problem or load x amount of weight or anything like that.

But if your dealer gets approved to do it then good for you, just do your own research before you go.

You are the customer, you had the info, you should correct them or ask to speak to the General Manager or the shop foreman, the service writers do not always (or even most of the time) know what they are talking about.

These troubles from the dealerships are crazy! I bought a used 06 sport certified last week, read about the tsb on here, loaded my atv in th eback, brought it to dealer, and complained...they are doing the tsb next week. That simple. I guess it all depends on where you take it. When I called th eguy he gave me no trouble, they did however have a claim person come in to inspect it before giving the authorization..Good luck guys

I'm getting my TSB done this morning. At first they weren't going to do it because I have a block lift in back which I kind of figured. I spoke with the Tech and said that the truck is worthless to me if I can't haul a load. I told him to just leave the Blocks off if they create a problem. He was good about it and is gonna try to put them back in. We'll see here in a few hours. Cedric Theel in Bismarck, ND is the dealership. I've had nothing but good experience there so far.

The stealerships got your money on the sale. There's no money or incentive in service anymore.

FOXY, are we speaking different languages? my truck is OUT of warranty. the TSB said, anything over 36k is SOL. i have almost 40k. the service advisor said the toyo suspension warranty is more than the 36k miles and he will cover my truck if it needs the TSB. if he is wrong, he is wrong in my favor...why would i argue? truck is with him right now for inspection...keep you guys posted.

My mistake...I mixed you up for being the OP :thumbsup:who is under warranty, had the TSB in front of him stating he is covered and let the service manager tell him he isn't covered.

Add A Leaf is the same thing and much cheaper, do it yourself.
