How do you like those tires? Do they do ok off road? I'll need new tires soon. Did you go to Cliff's?
Lots of vehicles are climbing in oil level. My Ferd takes 8 quarts!

Nope, but if he's good, I'm willing to give him a shot. I certainly won't be going back for another raping from MCH Cycles in Bellingham again... I had heard good things about Cliff's Cycles, was going to try him next.

I dont like Kevin's. The guy there gave me attitude as soon as I walked in to get an inspection sticker on my SV. Took one look out the window at the bike when i said i needed a sticker and he said i wasnt getting it there. Meanwhile, there were harleys with open exhaust ripping out of the parking lot after getting their stickers.

That's weird. I didn't even know they did inspections!!! I just know of them for supplies; oil, tires, helmets/gear etc... They gave my kid a good deal when he bought all his stuff.

If your willing to drive down to Cranston, Hartford Muffler and Brake on Plainfield Pike is great, I have been there multiple times with many vehicles and the owner Rick is nice to deal with and very reasonable with his pricing. If you need an address or phone number, I have his card, just not on me.

Do you already have 17s on the fj? which tires are you thinking about. I saw a jeep with the cooper st maxx in 255. They looked like they would be a good year round tire, but no one stocks them. I got the KM2s for $188 shipped from 4wheelparts.com.

I'm really happy with the tires so far. Great on the road, you can lean the bike over nice, unlike the knobbies that were on it before. They are still really good on the trail, I was really surprised how well they handle off road. Not showing any wear at 1200 miles either. I got them at Cycle Express in Cheshire MA. My buddy bought a KTM and they let me use his discount on parts to buy the tires for my bike.

They loosened the cable adjustment completely so when I pulled the clutch in to start, nothing happened. I was like... Hmmmm the clutch lever has 1.5" of play now.... The rubber boot that covers the cable connection was askew so I looked, and sure enough the jamb nut was loose and the skinny screw was all the way in. Probably some kids. I readjusted and was fine.

Having a dispute with an eBay vendor. I ordered a set of long tube headers with a y-pipe. The fitment guide in their listing said it would fit my 07 4wd with no issue. I installed the headers just fine, but the y-pipe didn't fit because of the transfer case. I asked them to give half my money back because half the kit is useless, and they came back saying they would offer me $30.... I paid $313 for the set, I expect no less than $156 because their y-pipe is useless for my application. They said $40 was the max, or I could return the entire kit for a full refund if it was unused. I explained multiple times that the headers are installed and are now "used" and they basically told me to pound sand...

They pissed me off. This isn't going to end well for them.

I ran my mud terrains all year round. They were good in pretty much everything except if you punched it on hard pack snow.

St maxx is high in my list. Just not entirely sold on packed snow/ ice performance. Granted nothing comes close to snow tires. But I still drive so much something with more siping makes more sense. However tires with more siping don't look as cool...
