First build I had was a 2005 Tacoma 6spd Prerunner Edition, built it up from a completely stock platform.
Went from bone stock to having front+rear long travel.
Really the reason I joined TW and definitely made for a Great first truck!
Definitely still wish I owned this truck sometimes.
Closest pic to stock I have.
    IMG_3428_fcc1985a343d408125084c733224448e2b0c0a66.jpg

Probably the favorite stage of this truck.
A very simple and tastefully modded midtravel truck.

Then came the Full front+Rear long travel, bigger tires, fiberglass..

That Build stopped short from some user error .
    Ended up in another Tacoma.
1999 Full Bed Cage, front Camburg LT, 35's.

That truck was never what i wanted.
Was too loud, automatic, 2wd, and atracted way too much attention.
Never knew how dangerous not having a front plate was.

Some reason I thought having a car would be a great idea.
Maybe it was the excessive driving and terrible mpg's.
2007 Hyundai Tiburon, was supposed to stay stock and a DD.

Somehow this became more of a money pit that a tacoma :anonymous::annoyed:
Dropped it on coilovers, new tires/rims, vinyl wrap, exhaust, intake, ecu, bumper, interiors.. oh and super charger..

    PART_1428897385964_IMAG0724_zpskyckof5a_b53d933f797e13b8232abdc60b5e43fd893d36a0.jpg

Fast Forward to now. Sold the car for more than I paid for it with 40,000 more miles(in less than a year). Broke about even on mods.

Knew it was about time to get back into a tacoma. :D
    1998 Tacoma 4x4 Manual v6 with E Locking Differentials.
Guy I bought it from was the 2nd owner and has kept the truck in good shape with all service records since ownership. All records even including gas fill ups.
Have some great plans for this build and really happy with this truck so far

    Thanks man!
Nothing too crazy for the front, mid travel at most, some kinda hybrid bumper. Rear end I'm going with a Canti.
Going to be more of an expo build

Spent a day replacing the Diff, transfer case, transmission, clutch, and brake fluid.
Thanks for the help/tools Jordan and Anthony.

Took the truck for a shake down trail run on a local fire road/trail.
Some Poser shots of the truck in all of its stock glory.
4x4 works great, even though i didn't really need it :D

Picked up a soft topper off CL for a good price :)
No instructions but the whole thing came together after an hour.
Guess this is my first real mod to the new truck.

Yea i know lol, but then you need front glass and paint, and 8" coilovers, blah blah blah.
Don't think I need anything more than a solid MT up front, would do MT in the rear too, but Jordan(Santabarbarataco) is giving me a solid deal on his old Canti set-up.

Totally not procrastinating and updating my build..

    Cleaned up the bypasses, Shiny!

Got some 2nd gen seats from a buddy that I cleaned up, hopefully have them mounted soon.

Installed a Prerunner Bumper too, but definitely needs some tweaking before I post pictures of it. :anonymous:
The Bumper definitely showed how shot my front suspension is, picked up some bilstein 5100 and Eibach coils to hold me up for a few months.
    :D

01 Conversion happening after I get the grill. Went with some 1 piece headlights off Ebay
    [IMG]

Also, got some 01 Fender flares.. much better than that stock chrome

Lifted the front end on some DR 2.5 coilovers paired with some Camburg UCA's.

Went on a shake down run to go camping

Love my soft topper! beats setting up a tent any-day.
You can also see the 01 conversion I have done, still need to wrap the hood in gloss black.
