    I use a high lift on the sliders if I'm going up on jackstands.

    I've got one of the harbor freight steel frame floor jacks too. 20 something inches of lift.

    Killer deal! A friend is an appraiser for a chain of pawn shops in the Louisville/Southern Indiana area. I email her when I'm looking for something and she emails me back when that item is coming out of pawn. She called yesterday and let me know the floor jack of my dreams was coming out this morning. I was at the particular shop where it was at when they opened up this morning. I even knew ahead of time what to offer ( ;) ) So. I'm now the owner of a 1 year old Snap On YA700B, 2-1/2-ton jack. It has a 4-1/4" to 23" lift range. This particular jack is the highest rated jack from 4 different consumer testing sites.

    Bagged it for a $75 bill! I'm happy! Gonna check with my Snap On man to see what list price is. I'm betting it's over $75!

    Does it say "Assembled in USA" or "Made in USA"? The "Assembled" ones are of all Tawainese parts.

    Got me! I was just curious. Snap On claims Made In the USA, but if you look closely you'll notice a decent amount, aside from the hand tools, are just overpriced rebranded Asian items.

    In this day and age, EVERYTHING is partially to fully made overseas.....About all a person can do is get foreign built products with a good warranty and with parts available. I have a great working relationship with my Snap On route man, so I can probably get this thing fixed if it ever needs fixin'.
