    Cut the old U bolts out. Makes it easier to get it out. And @357sig is right about the ebrake cables. You have to take them apart to get the axle off

    So I'll be there for sure on Sunday, around 9:30ish. Just to clarify, we need to (a) install the e-locker 3rd member into the axle that Large gave you, (b) do the axle swap and (c) do the harness....correct?

    The first two are relatively "easy". 3rd member install is no problem, just take your time, the ebrake stuff is a bitch and a half but I've done that a couple of times and the axle swap itself is straightforward like Dennis said. I have no idea on the harness though.

    Yes to new brake shoes. Yes to new ubolts/ shiny ones

    I did a few axle swaps. It is mentally easy if you think about it. But when doing it, it's a pita!! All the parts are heavy, you have two axles move around. Brakes are very tedious. And the end of the day. You will get beat up! Lol
