we usually leave our tents and kitchen stuff on the location. but we'll take stoves and stuff so we can setup a perch at the top of the ladder to watch the ensuing shit show and make lunch for the rest of the afternoon.

Altamont pass might be a little harry around that time. But we'll probably be fine.

Also @tigjitsu has to work this weekend, so he's not going to make it.

I was just thinking, I might head into Tracy before traffic gets bad and do a little shopping at the Bass Pro Shop there. Pick up with the group from there.

Location: Slick Rock Road is located in the beautiful area below Lake Alpine. How to get there. Take HWY 4 to Lake Alpine enter the lower campground at W. Lake Alpine rd. stay to your right and follow a gravel road, both sides will be posted private property. You will go about ¾ of mile and you will come the sign for the start of Slick Rock Road.

Good times had by all. Zero carnage. Everyone else on the trail was friendly and courteous.

While it can be done open-open, slick rock is rough enough these days that it's best to come with a rear locker.

Not to mention sliders and skids.

You'll have to wait for photos from the rest of the big group returning later, though.

Hopefully I'll have armor and sliders by the next time the group goes back to this trail. Sounds like a lot of fun.

Awesome time guys!! Great trip! My favorite moment was realizing the loud pop was my mudflap popping off, not my diff grenading itself :amen:.

Great spotting by @Pdugan6, his buddy, @bmase11, and bjmoose.

I'd love to take the right side line at the staircase next time. Hoping for a hc rear bumper by then.

Sorry I don't have any pics. Phone won't take any and I forgot my camera.

Oh yeah, if @bjmoose offers to cook jambalaya, you should most definitely accept :hungry:

My pleasure @CalTacoma09! It was awesome having a capable eye constantly watching my passenger side. Your little guy is cool. I got a fist bump from him before the first obstacle! Plus he kept Daisy good company in the back seat.

So much fun had by all, running the trail with this group of guys/gals was awesome. Btw, I have 560 photos to sift through, so it may be a little bit before I can post up the money shots.
