don't be silly, you cant land it on the street and park it in the driveway so a jet isn't practical

 

don't forget to clean out everything even under the seats, you might find another dollar in loose change in it somewhere

and take out the stereo and speakers unless they are stock

 

Why not? I'm pretty sure it's more likely that you could find a way to get a runway by your house than drive a tank on an interstate

Found an HRV in Oregon!! Might go test drive it tomorrow, trying to convince Eric right now!!

PS: It's not blue and it doesn't have a sunroof and I am fine with that.

Did you contact the dealer. I bought a Juke in their first year of production and the one I wanted was already sold by the time I made it to the dealer lol.

 

Yep. Called the dealer directly and he said it's there and was trying to get me to schedule an appt to come drive it. Told him I'd talk to Eric and let him know. But if these guys are being honest with me about how most are sold before they even receive them, I'm guessing even this one could be gone by the time we'd get down there this weekend!!

 

All I got to say is...thanks(sarcasm). I looked up that damn car doing an image search and got an assload of cookies installed on my work computer. Now every site I go to has some sort of add for this car!

Being a work computer, I'm not allowed to install any add block software. FML.

Seeing how I get to view this car so often, I just know I'm gonna see them everywhere. It always happens.

Jen, if you are this hardcore serious on this car being your end all be all choice see if the dealer will take a $500 dollar refundable deposit on it. I've done that on a few cars to make sure they don't run away on me while I make up my mind.

Personally I think it's a bit over zealous to be this into a vehicle you've never seen or drove but if you are then try the refundable deposit route.

if you are serious and you want it then you and eric better go over there, test drive it, and sign the papers after he gets home. maybe even bring dolly to get her opinion too

wanting a specific color car can be very hard to find sometimes. you gain nothing by waiting for the weekend, and you risk it being sold and then you will be having to "settle" on some other color. blue is THE most popular and fastest selling color no matter what brand car it is.

 

OMG, more good news!! Just found a couple even closer to home!!! Might be able to convince him to go test drive TONIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If I can convince him to fight traffic two different directions back to back after working all day The blue one is far away but these other ones are close. We could test drive those to be sure we really like it to the tune of that much $, then if yes, go get my favorite color Honda, finally!!

 

jen, they can get it from the other dealer for you if you insist, just tell them you'll buy it if they get you a blue one and you know they have a blue one at xyz dealer. they will arrange an inventory swap between dealers and get it for you in a day or two if you agree to buy it pending test drive and your inspection of course. they might give you some BS about having to charge more for something not on the lot but if they do then just leave and go to the other dealer.

but to be honest, I see no reason to screw around with the local dealers that DONT have the car you want, just go to the dealer with the blue one and you will be driving it home tonight and have a wild, completely out of control drinking party when you get home to celebrate

 

I like your advice in the 1st paragraph!! Totally trying for that scenario!! I don't wanna drive all the way out to that other dealer and THEN possibly find out it's not what I thought it would be. Would rather risk missing out on the blue one than risk that trip being a waste. It's a heck of a drive.

 

just make sure to test drive one with the exact same options package as the blue one so there are no surprises, print out the options list for the blue one to take with you.

also, most dealerships stay open till 9 or 10 pm so eat supper before you hit the road to avoid the coming home from work traffic
