Have any of you spent time on the build tool for Colorado/canyon? Z71 DCLB is 36k before options and it doesn't come standard with a bed liner. Perspective.

To me z71 is like limited. Once you select z71 4x4 there is not much to select afterward. Maybe bedliner and 7 speaker Bose.
Still Total came up to 36730 ... Thats way below $38 000 Toyota wants

It's not. Dual zone climate control is a package. Nav is an option. Nav comes standard on TRD models. Leather isn't standard in z71 either.

Are you sure Navi comes standard on both TRD models? I think (but could be wrong) that navi is not included on the non-JBL package.

Just built a Z71 and it came out 38K .
There is items to select like bed protection, nav, etc.

The GMC Canyon can easily be built to 38 - 40 K.

Besides. Didn't your Tacoma cost more than a Frontier when you purchased? So you really have no point, except that Toyota will be at the high end of the mid size price range. Yet still remain within reason of the Chevy/GMC.

You want cheap. buy a nissan.

You sure? My sport has the premium entune with the integrated nav, but it's not listed as being an additional cost.

edit: I'm looking at the brochure PDF now and it shows the entune premium with integrated nav as standard on TRDs.

This is my order with the Standard equipment listed for my truck. I did not get the premium upgrade. What I did not know is that according to the brochure, you still get the premium audio set up with the upgrade, same amount of speakers, you just don't get JBL's. I love my music but I do all my own work on my cars and I'm sure I can buy the JBL's on my own and swap them out if I really want to.

It looks like you are right. I was hoping that would be the case.
There must be a specific spec sheet that the dealers have that does not list the navi on the non-JBL package, but obviously that is incorrect.

I payed $29 900 (give take $80) for my 4x4 V6 A/T DCLB SR5 with Limited Slip and few options.. The reason I did not went with Frontier was
    1. Towing capacity of 6500 lb (which was best in mid-sizes) and decent Payload.
    2. Land Cruiser Engine and transmission in Tacoma
    3. Mechanical Limited slip
    4. Longer bed and bigger cabin.
    5. Comparable price.

As you can see Price end up to be in the tail end.

And I got all that for $29k

I go to dealership look for a Tundra, and I ask for my 09 DBC Tacoma how much for trade in, mind I can trade in for 16000, so think about it, 7 years ago I pay 28000, and in seven years I only loss 12000, I don't think you can find any trade that can have this high trade in value. So I stay with Tacoma.
