I have been getting 18 (almost 19), according to my ulta-gauge. Mostly interstate driving at 65-75 mph. Not to bad. Much better than the 14-16 mpg's I was getting in my Tundra. However, at the end of July I have a 730 mile trip to Washington coming up and I am anxious to see what kind of mpg's I get on that trip.

I believe the mpg lost was mostly due to bigger and heavier wheels and tires.

I put on the 5100's set at 1.75 with stock tires and hardly any mpg decrease

I'm interested too. Many say no change, but I would think if you put on lots of 75-80+ mph driving I would expect worse because of increased aerodynamic drag. At 55-60 maybe not much change.

15 DCSB OR 4x4 with 6spd, only have 1600 miles on it right now. First tank was 16.9, most recent was 19.1. Fair amount of 70mph hwy driving in the mountains, with a fair bit of making sure the gas pedal works on this last tank. Quite pleased with the mileage so far.

2013 DCSB OR for first 4 fill-ups 22.09 mpg, 75/25% hwy/city, keeping under 2,000 rpm most of time. 1,022 miles using 46.3 gallons. Not as good as the 25+ mpg on my previous PreRunner, but happy camper 4 sure.

Short beds always get better mileage. My LBDC gets 16-17. If I place an egg between my foot and pedal, I can pull 19...

I suspect you won't see much of a difference. The front tires of these trucks are already exposed to the wind and I don't think raising the truck 3" will create more drag. Tires would be the next biggest factor, and I'm not even convinced it's the height but the weight, width, and type of tire.

Three tanks of gas into my 3" lift. No change in MPGs.

I doubt it would at all. Putting my N-Fab side steps on didn't do anything.

Sliders weigh about 95 lbs though. Did you keep the same size tires?

Sliders don't affect mileage much. They might drop it some due to it affecting aero dynamics but I have yet to notice a loss in mpg.

Where the added weight is located makes the difference. Unsprung rotating mass will have an approximate equivalent to 3x to 4x sprung weight (ie sliders). So adding 15lbs per tire would have an equivalent sprung weight of 180lbs to 240lbs. Tire diameter and gearing will have a greater effect than sprung weight as well. I get about 15 mpg with 285s in a basically stock 6 speed, if I didn't enjoy accelerating as much it could probably be better.

How many miles are you getting out of a tank?

Light comes on when approx. 17 gallons have been used: 245.6/17= 14.4 MPG. Naturally a more accurate measurement would be for your to fill up and record the gallons and the miles.

18 with mid grade and cant drive over 75. If I drop to 4th gear to go 80 it gets 14. My truck wont pull 5th gear at 75 without shifting a bunch of times so I manually put it into 4th (auto). If I drive 65-68 on flat ground or down hill I can pull 5th gear and get 18-20. A 5.7 hemi vvt with 8speed auto would be awesome in these little trucks.
