    Yea but remember your LC is heavier, if you start blowing up wheel bearings, you're not gonna have a good time. You might want to look at a 10k gvw to be safe if you are set on getting a trailer. Consider the curb weight of each trailer you look at.

    Interwebs say curb weight of an Fzj80 is 4,850 lb, and a 6.2 long block is 700 lb. I highly recommend you bust out your best calculator and try to figure out what your weight is/will be since you can't drive to a scale right now. Then you need to add the weight of the trailer to see if the GVW is under capacity.

    Do you just want a trailer temporarily, or are you planning on trailering to trails when it is ready?

    ... am I missing something here? Unless he putting the trailer on top of the LC it doesn't need to be added into the gvwr. Payload and towing are separate.

    Although I am only an extra 400 lbs in the front with engine/winch/bumper and only 500 lbs extra in the rear and will likely be removing the second row of seats too. Might be close to the limit but was looking into using a WD hitch setup.
