I should keep my mtrs just for rubicon. Not that I don't trust the ko2... But the mtr have been a hell of a off road go to.

 

Certainly can't blame toyota for that one. If you had chosen the axle bearing, that would have been better... Oh, wait! That happened in Canada didn't it.

 

I would. I love the MTR. And i was the one that had the least traction issues of everyone there. And it was SLOPPY on Whipsaw. Rained for like 14 hours straight damn near.

The mud was slick in spots. None of had really any major issues save one spot that Timmy and Mike kinda had issues.

Not sure if it was a tire issue or travel issue though..

He cheated. Miss out on all the real wheeling.

 

Truck looks good Ben with the new bumper. I like the stance too. How are the lights? Did you get the Halogens or LED ones? I see they make LED ones.

 

I was looking a light stuff last night kinda randomly and found some awesome looking LED Fogs. They are a true fog so sharp cut off but super wide spread.

I disagree. 4.88s and 33s with the 5-speed are just like 5.29s and 33s with the auto.

Ben, if you think you will end up as heavy as me, get 4.88s. You'll love having the power and responsiveness back when you go with 33s or 34s. I am now kinda wishing I had gone with 5.29s.

Hey guys, I thought Id jump in and introduce myself. I'm from Glenrock, just moved here a last year from Laramie.
I dont have a Tacoma yet but I think we're in the market for one. Currently have an 08 Rubicon that I love, its just becoming impractical to not have a pickup anymore. I'm hoping the Taco will satisfy our off road needs while I get a CJ built.

 

I'm a complete newb when it comes to Toyota's so I don't really know what to watch out for or anything. Was hoping to run down take a look at this one this week. Has higher mileage than I would normally like but it would be another 5-6 years before I put another 50k on it. Any thoughts or insght would be appreciated. It seems pretty difficult to find many used ones in Wyo.

Bit high mileage indeed. But still looks good. 2nd Gens are still pretty stout so id have faith. I bought my 2nd truck with 149k on it. But its a 1st gen..

 

AH the swedish dude just texted me! they are in Missoula! Gonna do Goose Lake. Man..i wish i was home.

 

Met a cool jeep guy today at WalMart. I parked near him since I thought it was a pretty cool rig and came out to find him checking out mine. His brother owns a taco and I told him to have him check out the site. I grabbed his number to get another truck on the trail once the snow starts falling.
