Well heated seats are available. I prefer manual seats, they are so much faster.

+10-15% for the V6 on the EPA tests. Haven't seen the Consumer Reports numbers yet. I think that is where the Atkinson cycle capability will show itself.

One thing electric usually has over the admittedly faster manual seats is, way more adjustment. I think the ability to adjust the front and back seat cushion height independently is something the Tacoma sorely needs for driver comfort.

Agreed, that was my point. We have some serious thinking to do. But if we do buy a midsized truck it will be the tacoma. Aesthetically it destroys the competition. I didn't even bother with the nissan. Never seen one I liked. The damn platinum tundra got me excited a little.

    Just the basics
They could do manual seats with more adjustments. My tC had more than two axis of movement.

No idea why they wouldn't give us more seat adjustments. Even a manual seat height adjuster would be ok.

That's a nice looking cab setup. Three people in the front seat, flat rear floor. Ford offers a column shifter as an option so the middle front has halfass legroom, great for kids or putting your arm around your honey. Grab handles both sides, why Toyota dropped that is a mystery.

Well suited for many people and many applications.

It isn't bad at all, I think we have decided to sell our SUV..that might be a good replacement...kind of a do-it-all vehicle.

Yeah I spent my Saturday at Ford. I can get a sweet beast of an F150 XLT for the same price as a Taco. I'm pumping the brakes on the Tacoma for a bit until I can see this thing in person.

I may wait till next year and save for a nice Lariat. I love the two tone color like I have now.

This is why compact trucks like the first gen Tacoma are dead. Americans buy by the pound and the spec sheet.

Price is the problem for me.
Why pay as much or more for something that can do half the work.

It also depends on use. I use my trucks like trucks. One could argue that I really shouldn't be in the market for a mid-sized and they may be right, but it would make a nice man-toy.
Unfortunately that's all it seems to be very good for. Which is fine if it's saving me money. But now I'm paying more to downgrade. Doesn't make sense.

This truck is priced like a full-sized with none of the features or capabilities. That's where my issue is.
