My 08 Taco, V6 has just enough power to pull my boat up the ramp.

What is the CHEAPEST thing I can do to get just a little bit more low end torque???

My friend mentioned a performance chip, but after searching, they are not cheap and a pain to install, and iffy.

He also said switch out the rear differential, or re-gear it. Maybe smaller tires???
I dont drive on the highway and this truck is barely driven.

Thoughts? Speak dumb to me, I dont know shit about autos :)

Sounds like re-gearing is your best option.

Performance chips for the most part are junk. Smaller tires would be the easiest route to make it feel torqier. Gears are the best option for most imo.

4wd? THE absolute easiest and free way to pull up the ramp easier would be just shift into low range.

I suppose its not a 4x4 then? If it was, you could just pop it in 4L.

What the heck kind of boat and ramp are you on that's causing such a problem?
