Will do man! I'm pretty excited to see how they respond when I hit the pedal pretty good haha!

Thanks dude! It was a lot of fun and saved a lot of money doing it myself.

It went great dude!!! Went into it thinking there was a decent possibility once I started taking things apart I might have to leave it on Jack stands for more than a day but I got it all done in about 8 hours.

Front took quite a while because of having to take apart the front so much. Tie rods off, LCA unbolted from the brakes, spindle disconnect from the UCA, CV axles out, etc.... Then getting the clamshell out was a pain in itself haha. But it all worked out well.

The rear was very easy. New 3rd member in and everything back assembled in about an hour. Pretty stoked saving a lot of money doing it myself and it gave me some more experience wrenching on my own truck.

Ya the 3rd is super easy. Helped a guy put a new one in at rock therapy this year. Ya I can imagine the front being a pain in the butt. How does it run now with the new gearing?

I only drove my truck home from my buddy's house yesterday and that's all the driving I've done so far. From the small amount I did I certainly do notice a big difference in acceleration haha. I could more than likely easily burn rubber now. I'll be taking my truck to work tomorrow and I'll see how things are on the highway and stuff and I'll report on that. What I'm really excited about though is seeing how the 4.88's are off-road and being able to try out my rear ARB :bananadance:

So are you going to be one of the cool guys and try and roast some tires. :D Have you tested to make sure the arb works before you take it wheeling. It won't hurt it to test it on pavement.

Hahaha of course I am!! I gotta roast these ones so I can have a reason to get 35's with my wife. "Babe these ones just don't have anymore tread, I need new tires. It's unsafe to drive around with no tread" haha. And all I've tested is to make sure the compressor is working right and that the solenoid is activating when the rocker switch is on. The air is running right to the line so I'm assuming it's all good. But yeah I will have to test soon.

I put the rear of the truck on jackstands and activated the locker. Spin one of the tires a little and you'll hear and feel the locker engage and both sides will be locked together if working correctly. You should do this check to see if you have any air leaks from the compressor and air lines. Your compressor should pressurize and stay off. Mine had a small leak and was kicking on every 30 sec or so. I found the leak, tightened the fitting on the compressor, and it holds now. Sweet build btw. I've been watching it from the beginning.

That's a great idea bro. Thank you. I'm so excited to use it haha! The 4.88's jump so quick off the line now!! And the RPM's on the freeway this morning weren't too bad. At 65 mph I was running about 2500 rpm. I appreciate the kind words man! These trucks are a lot of fun dude as you already know with your awesome truck!

With my my truck being a manual and geared with 4.56's and 285's, it is overgeared for freeway driving. Really good offroad but I'm at 2500 rpms at about 55 mph. That being said, I really want the 35's on the truck soon.

Ya that sounds like a great plan. It will never blow up in your face.
Ya it is always good to test it while driving to. That will put a little more pressure on it to test for leaks.
