Does anyone know if they bed rails and cab profile the same so currently designed toppers will work on the 2016 or do we need to wait for ARE and LEER to catch up?

I think they would work but they wouldn't be totally flush and maybe look weird. Change to the bed was very minimal. Topper manufacturers have dimensions already so they are no doubt developing them right now. Should be available within months I'd imagine.

    Got a reply from A.R.E.

"our caps and covers are currently being designed to fit the new 2016 Tacoma's. Previous model years (05-15) will not fit the 16's."

Could be they want you to just buy a new one. I'd wait if you got the cash for a new one.

ARE emailed me yesterday, V series, overland and a tonneau ate now available for order. Those were the easiest to modify the rear door for the new tailgate.

Softopper is getting a truck Oct 4 to look at adjustments to the rear panel.
