I gave up on my two piece and dealing with carrier bearing and u-joint issues for years and bought a one piece double cardone Tom Woods driveshaft....so far so good and all drive line vibes resolved instantly. Only thing weird about the double cardone one piece is that you have to set your pinion pointed up directly in line with the drive shaft so I had to shim it 4 degrees with my current leafs. With the amount of droop travel that you have and how hard you run your truck I can't believe your stock drive shaft held up this long to be honest

Can you post more pics of your links please, having a nearly identical 3 link set up built right now...

Issue is the driveshaft would be way to long as a 1 piece or else I would. Yours being 4x4 would be at least a foot shorter. Do you have any pictures of it though? And what pictures do you want of the link setup?

P.S. I should have mentioned that with a one piece shaft on a double cab they have to make it out of larger tubing so you have to remove the OE carrier bearing cross member for drive shaft clearance. I started by just chopping the carrier mounts but cycled it again and it was obvious that the drive shaft would hit the cross member before bump.

Ah my bad you are right amigo I forgot you were 2wd...Tom Woods shop did explain that issue to me which is why they felt better making even my 4wd one out of larger dia tubing...with the larger drive shaft diameter they can go a bit longer and the double cardon joint itself is quite
huge...maybe it could work on a 2wd ? It is pouring down here right now but when it stops I can snap you a couple of pics.

I was curious to see a side view of your finished links please , thanks !

Don't mind the broken window. When I pull the spare out it has full bed space. Lost only a couple inches in the corners

Excellent build. What rate springs are you running in the rear?

I agree with your assessment. I think a visit to the driveline shop is in order. That rust tells the tale. I definitely would not be happy:frusty:

Thanks for the spring specs, this is definitely my favorite build thread so far. Gonna do something similar to my own truck once my work on everyone else's vehicles slows down

What muffler did you use ? I had a Magnaflow ( oval style ) that I reused, I shortened the pipe before the muffler to clear the third at droop and did a small dump tip too but after driving the truck for the first time yesterday discovered that it is horribly loud...the drone inside the cab is so bad it sounds like it is coming through the stereo at max volume

What series Magnaflow? Maybe add a resonator to help calm it down.

I'm not sure of the model # it is just the oval style one that came with a cat back kit I bought years ago. I think you are right, I will probably have to use a resonator to knock down the drone. I would need to find pretty short one because this is all I have left for an exahaust, same issue that you can see in Brian's photos I just installed a 3 link and the 3rd is right in the way.image.jpg

I hated my "single out super short because I'm and idiot and linked my truck" exhaust so much I had a custom X-pipe built and went to dual 2525XL Aero Exhaust mufflers with built in resonators added

Any pics of where you routed it / where it exited ? I don't think it is possible to go over the axle anymore ? I have a 3 link with stock fuel tank so a single is my only option.
