The red double cab was the inspiration for this build. Still think it's lacking ?

As of right now, visual/functional inspection is only for gas cap/filler neck and functional test for LPFET (where applicable).

From what I have heard its pretty easy to find a shop that will pass on visual as long as everything else checks out, like no check engine light one and what not. Well see tho when I have to redo mine in about a year.

I got 14s as close as possible to the leaf pack and they are about an inch underneath the bedline.

Your shocks are super angled though as well, arent they? Just curious what the max travel i can get without punching through the bed and without crazy angle on the shocks, whether 12s or 14s....hoping for at least 14"

Not really. I punched through the bed though and if my mind serves me right I got 16.5" travel. Kept most of my bedspace. I loose very little with the spare tire out.

    Yes
Where do you want your lower shock tabs to be ? centered on the axle ? Do you care if they have to hang down super low like the OE ones ?

I would think that if 14's would fit Tim would have used them when he built Will's truck. Just do a canti if you have to not go through the bed.

I dont mind if they hang down a bit, as long as they arent lower than the leaf pack. If theu do hang below center, id want them hella gusseted and boxed. Basically what TC did on their project tacoma, but i cant find their travel #s.

however he built that truck with fox's tho and a 2.5x14" sway away is only 2 inches longer extended than a fox 12" also looks like its tabbed pretty high up the axle so i bet you "could" fit a 14" SAW without cutting up the bed.

with that being said, regardless it seems like excess work id just cut thru the bed, not going to loose hardly any bedspace some of the low pro bed cages people are doing take up like 1%

Yea i know, I'm just keeping my options open and looking around for ideas. 99% sure ill be going with 16" 3.0 triples, but i want to find travel numbers from people that haven't punched through the bed with the DMZ kit. At the very least Id like to be even with my camburg kit up front

What exactly are your plans for the truck? I know you're up north now, but are you building it with all this with expectations of coming back to SoCal? Lots of work and money, don't see many people start a build like that up there?

Hahaha ya I took a few years off the boards and from the truck but I still have it and am starting to put some $$$ back into it.
