Good to hear man! I was the same way growing up hunting with my dad, always ran into agents in the field down here on the AZ Border. That pic you have is actually our original MSS (Mobile Surveillance Site) truck. Quite a few new additions and improvements made to the MSCs, with a hefty new price tag as well haha. I appreciate it tho man

Those are some great pictures and a beautiful area. I didn't realize that Anza was accessible to camp like that beyond the state campground. We have been to Borrego Springs and ventured into coyote canyon a bit but it was 20 years ago. We used to dirt bike in Ocotillo Wells and Superstition a few times a year but never ventured into Anza as our bikes were green stickered and you needed a plate ride there. This awesome part of California is exactly why I keep telling my wife that we need to look into moving down south. It would be a dream to have all of this in our backyard and not have to drive 2+ hours to get there. Thanks for sharing!

The shower works great. I do need to get myself a small hand air pump to pressurize my water cans though. Dragging out my compressor everytime was a pain in the ass.
I think one of the best things I liked about the shower setup was using the shower curtain like an annex to get changed. The shower rod also came in handy for quickly setting something up to hang stuff to dry in places that I didn't set up a full camp.

The shower also provided something to attach my small 30W solar panel to while camped. That thing saved my ass during the trip and kept my 105Ah AGM battery topped up the entire time. I used the same concept as the shower rod and used a peice of 3/4" EMT slipped into a peice of 1" EMT for a pole to mount the panel. I was able to track the sun with this setup, although I could only set it up while parked. One of my next large purchases will definitely be a rack for over the cab. I think I'm going to add a second 30W panel and have the panels mounted to the rack so that it can charge while driving but also removeable so that I can set them up for tracking like my current setup.
All I'm running off my auxiliary battery currently is LED camp lights, Fan-Tastic Endless Breeze 12v crate fan, an inverter (main use was the GF with her hair straightning iron, lol) and charging my devices. However, after buying ice for our cooler for two weeks on the road I think I've finally convinced the girlfriend that we need to get ourselves a 12v fridge before our next big trip. :)

    Yes.
Took a week off to take my 'new' travel trailer through south-central Colorado.

Hope these folks got out of the mud flats at Lake San Cristobal before the rain hit. Last I saw, a jeep was assessing the possibility of recovery.

It's a home build and I'm the third owner. It's a 4'x8' which is a bit small so it's basically a metal tent on wheels which is exactly what I was looking for. The only other improvement I'd make is a second door because it would be nice to be able to exit on both sides. Other than that it's great and I can't wait to use it more.

    Yes.
No, I would have needed a lot more pulling power and a lot more cable. That thing was frame deep and about 200 yards past where I would have stopped.

Here are a few more pictures from the trip.
