Thanks to my buddy Peder & Chris (@deadhed61) for the help installing my AAL. I'm happy with the results, although I want to lift the front too now. We'll see how it looks after it settles in a bit.

About 2K miles ago I put on an OME kit with 885s, before the winch and some other random stuff, and I'm now too heavy for them... Anyone on here have the opposite problem, as in bought 886s and they're too stiff? You see what I'm getting at here... Let's trade!

Did you have a steel bumper before the winch? If so, how much height did the 885s get you before the winch?

I have the dakar from CBI, it's pretty light. It's hard to say with mine; I put on the OME kit as well as bumped up to 285s at the same time, I lost some tire-to-fender height with the bigger tires. I measured about 2.25 inches at first, then added the bumper, and was at slightly over 2 inches. Now with the winch and armor, I'm down to about 2 inches... The real problem is that I'm getting a bit of tire rub under the fender when I stuff the front going fast...

    Sounds like its time for...

    upload_2015-9-3_8-36-33.jpg

new springs will just change ride height, they won't cure the tire clearance when stuffed

I just want more stiffness, these springs are just too soft and my tires have a real easy time getting friendly with my fenders. I do love cutting my fenders...
