New climbing video.. Ascending my first V7. To put this in perspective, the last video I posted I was climbing a V4. Getting stronger and better!

 

nice man! we have a few of those climbing gyms in my area, have tried like twice its pretty fun but wayyyy harder then it looks, my fingers always get so sore lol

 

It's pretty brutal on fingers and forearms/tendons lol.. When I first started about 8 or so months ago I was going once a week, man those were hard times. I can crank out a 2 hour workout and be ok now days going twice a week. I'm probably going to start going 3 a week soon. I'm going today and I'll try to post a new video since I know for a fact they've reset the walls. There will be a whole bunch of new routes

 

we have a climbing section in the gym I go to - but I never used it...might give it a try

Yes in my gym, it's called LIFETIME

 

ha - I used to work at the YMCA in high school and they had a climbing wall. I actually had a few jobs there, one of them was the wall attendant. No one ever used it aside from the kids during summer camp so I would just climb on it all day until my shift was over. They had some 'auto belays' on it so you could do it without needing someone holding the other end of the rope. We would pull the rope down and clip it so if you fell you would still fall like 12 feet before it caught you. Probably not the smartest thing, but that rush...

@tacopaulo don't you go to the lifetime here? Does it have a wall like this?

 

YMCA was more than lifetime so I passed plus lifetime is open 24/7/365 (I don't have any religion so I enjoy my Sunday mornings in an empty gym)
The are all built alike so they all should have the same kind wall

 

The big ones like the one on falls of neuse and Cary do. I'd have to upgrade to have access to them.

 

That one on Falls is ridiculous. It reminds me of Globogym in dodgeball.

 

My wife really likes that gym lol. It has everything pretty much. The only way I can convince her to workout with me is to take her to that one. We might join that eventually and I'll hook you up with some guest passes.

x2. Ours has a machines section, cardio section, a fitness room for classes, and a free weights section. I'd like to have a racquetball court or a wall like that or something, but ours is a locally owned gym, so it's just the basics.
