AZ hunting

No mountain lion hunting yet. I would take my chances with a knife vs a mountain lion.

 

Evening dove Tuesday, nailed 12, should have had... like 20. Horrible shooting, lol.

Gonna try a morning this weekend and for sure a couple more evening.

 

We couldn't get into them Tuesday night. May try a bit later in the week.

I'm hoping to be good enough to hunt next year with my bow. I think I might try turkeys first because I hear they are easy to kill and I've yet to kill anything but birds.

 

C- spring turkey is a great hunt. Those tags need to be submitted by next Tuesday.
Unit 23 near Payson would be a good one and close to your cabin. If you put in and don't get drawn or don't want to draw you can get a bonus point ($13.00) which increases your chances for the next draw.
Spring turkey is late April early May 2016.

Same for javelina . The javelina archery hunt is jan 01-21 2016(3 weeks of hunting) and is a good one for archery.
Pigs hear and smell pretty good, but don't see particularly well. Sneaking up to 10 rilled up pigs with bow and arrow, well it doesn't get any better then that -------->

The bonus points are critical for the draw so when you buy a hunt license its good for a year.
I have 23 bonus points for buffalo- hope to draw someday.

Sounds good. I'm a newb to hunting so I don't have any gear or anything. Pretty sure wearing dickies shorts, a ho beater, and Chuck Taylor's is the wrong hunting gear.

Unit 27 buck. Another couple months for it to grow.... It's going to be a cold one but at least I won't need to worry about keeping it cold.
