Traded the 2015 TRD Pro 6spd Supercharged on a PowerWagon and could not be happier. My 2011 Tacoma with the TX Baja package (Added by me) is still treating me great. My 1985 Toyota never skips a beat.
I did my install as well. I did not have an issue, its fairly close. The issue I had was the valve on the front of the driver side valve cover, TRD bracket needed a tweek to clear.

Hang on ill take a picture

Best bang for the buck, probably this one. However I realize that is not in line with everyones needs or budget.

    Any compressor that is
    not an oil free model,
also if you check the rpm in the specs, a compressor that is around 1500 rpm but rated as the same output as tge 3000 rpm version has a bigger pump. They last longer, make less heat, which means less moisture and they tend to be more quiet.

I would look for models in the size or specs I want, and look up reviews etc. Garage journal dot com has tons of good reviews.

Also, if you can run a 220 input power then you should go for that over a 110.

I know there were lots of bad reviews on many of the newer model compressors I was looking at last time I searched. Unfortunately most of the IR ones I was wanting were poor reviews, mainly for being over priced.

The thing with a compressor, like a welder is.. if you think you MAY need the next size up then get it the first go or you will be going back later after kicking yourself in the rear.

I know my 2.5hp 30 gallon could not keep up with my 1/2 impact, the gravity feed texture gun I used in remodeling my house, a die grinder. Pretty much anything that is moderate to high draw I would have to wait for it to refill. And it got so hot it would just spew water into my tools.

I mainly looked at speed air, IR, and the other big names.

Some of them really are inflated in price.

I went with the 60 gallon 2 stage for a number of reasons and it has been great.

My father in law has a 7.5 hp 80 gallon yellow MAX air, and my Dad has a 80 gallon husky with a 5 hp single stage pump.

The 80 gallon single stage has a higher CFM at 90 psi, but not at 150 and it pressure dips because the thing kicks on lower than what I run my tools at.

Otherwise there isn't much I can compare as I haven't really needed any more compressor!

Definitely if you could haha. I rent where I am now, I had to run a 220 feed and I will have to remove it when I move out.

Also tried to get a picture of those lines, it is a tight fit but no issues so far, and I did not have to do anything with them for the install20150901_215947.jpg20150901_220000.jpg

My laundry room and kitchen are next to the garage. I just hopped in the attic, pulled a line from one of those and ran it to a drop in the garage.

    That way its easily reversible.

I can mount the the charger and bolt it down tight but it pinches the two lines. Not to the effect that they will stop working, but it may slow the flow some and definitely looks like a wear point.... I guess I'll see if I can clock them?

I also had issues with that front bracket coming off the oil fill funnel, I just bent the bracket as needed, took a couple attempts but that works now

Nicely done! You can't wait at all if you find these things for near MSRP. I was wondering if someone here was going to claim responsibility.

Congrats! Haha I thought about buying another one.. just don't have it in the budget.

I was thinking more so I could swap a 4.0 with supercharger into one of my old yotas.

But really I am planning 1uz vvti stroker instead.
