I am finally ready to bite the bullet an get my new truck. Question is I live in Memphis, TN and that is in a different region than Mississippi, so if I buy a truck in Miss. will any warranty work that is needed(hopefully not) be supported at the Memphis, TN dealers?

I'm trying to to do as much work as I can online to avoid having to deal with salesmen and whatever region Miss is in has a nice website which tells you which trucks are available instead of just listing the ones at the individual dealers. I've not be able to find any such thing for the TN regional area.

When I bought my warranty, they said that it was a national warranty. I don't think you would have any problems.

I bought my tacoma in Birmingham AL, and had its free first oil change while in florida at a toyota dealer, they made me fill out a form to put the truck in the local dealership database. But that was it, no questions asked.

I think that the dealer would have you believe that you would be in for grief if you didn't buy local. The fact is that the warranty is national like lsocoee said and any regular service work you get you're paying for anyhow.....Get your best deal and any dealer will be happy to take your cash for service and they're obligated to honor your warranty.

No problem......., except if you get one with a lot of dealer installed options that are not supplied by Toyota, which can be a problem for another dealer that may not have access, nor even know what brand they are. Similar, but not as bad is getting a Gulf States or SET truck with certain port/dealer options that can not be found easially in the National Toyota areas. Any Toyoya dealer anywhere in the US can can and will do warranty and customer pay work, they get paid for it.

If you can, wait till the '09s are available.

New colors and improved audio system ftw.

    Heres the new colors.

I bought mine in OK and have had warranty work done here in TX already. Doesn't matter as Toyota cuts the dealer a reimbursement check.

That '09 charcoal grey color reminds me of my '89 but have to agree that those tail lights are well?

I wonder if the tail lamp swap will require a flasher swap also, since the LED's draw less current? I bet it most likely will.

The new t/lamps sho'nuff are hiddious, but I would guess we would read more complaints from some if they did not have the "overdone" look.

Warranty work is nationwide. I have taken mine to the dealer in my county with no issues. I bought in another. They knew I was doing that. They want the work, so they will do it.
