    Wish I would of seen this before buying a wheel bearing assembly. I do not have a press, how bad would it be if I used a hammer and a wood block to press in the spindle to the wheel bearing assembly? I always did it in other cars but never on a tacoma.

    not the greatest idea. you have to support the inner bearing race while pressing the hub into the bearing.

    absolutely. A sledge hammer and block of wood should never be attempted unless you want to replace it again very soon.
