Read the last bit of the warranty extension, if you still have the bad lights just go to the dealer and they should install new OEM lights. If not, put together the required information and hope for the best, all it would cost you is a stamp.

I was misreading and saw the secondary coverage has the mileage restrictions. I'm assuming that's after you replace them they should last that long? :notsure:

Anybody have a copy of the Warranty Enhancement Program for melting DRL's (DTRL's) for Canada?

That's correct OZ-T, but just wondering if there was a PDF similar to the US one that I could bring with me to the Canadian dealership. I visited my local dealership today with the US Warranty Policy Bulletin (POL14-03) and was wondering if there was a Canadian version of the bulletin. The dealership said they would look into it for me after a few strange stares because I brought the US document. :)

What 05-08's had DRL in USA? Neither my 05 AC nor my 08 RC have DRL's..............then the question would be, how do your blinkers blink enough to melt the lens? Guess I don't use blinkers enough.

Yep, musta been. Not many VIN ranges before 09 on the link. Seems like corporate would do the typical weasel BS and not cover optional equipment since the customer picked it. Fits right in with their general mindset based on what has been posted here about member's dealings with them about everything that has been issue for 2nd gens. Glad folks that need it can get it.

We (Canadians) got screwed, they only extended to 5 years after purchase date. I bought my truck 7 yrs ago (september 08) and now I am noticing some distorted lenses..

Damn... that's not positive news. I have an apt this week to get mine checked out. The lenses have the burn/cracking. Why no help for the Canuks?

Dealer service said no go. No extended warranty in Canada. Lame because the VIN is within the range.

I got my headlights changed (2009 TRD Sport) last week by a dealer. The DTRL still shine and outside the outer lens still feels pretty hot. Anybody know if anything was changed with the replacement design or are these lens going to melt and crack in a couple of years? Also I am wondering about experience with other bulb replacements: LED's? 3057's? Thanks for any input. The change was supposedly valid until the end of Oct for my VIN. I got 72,000 miles
