Aftermarket alternatives will always produce better power and be less expensive than OEM stuff (usually) unfortunately most warranties are voided if something goes south...The other interesting thing here, is the thought that Magnuson would offer the same/similar unit at a lower price than Toyota. Just looking at their current offerings for other manufactures, shows that their average kit cost is over 5k which is more expensive than the OEM units were initially. It will be interesting to see what happens...

Well then I bet they will do a redesign and come out with a much better kit, since most of their kits put out alot more than a 'safe' 60 hp. Obviously TRD had them design something that wouldn't blow the engine up in a year.

Actually had the search saved on ebay, so it popped up that morning and I bought it before I got out of bed.

Source? I called them directly and they said they couldn't sell them.

    I hope you're right.

For that price, they should be trailering my truck out there to install & flying me out to pick it up after they install it!

You should burn that place down.

Any dealer that is going to take that kind of advantage of people is not worth being in business.

Fuck, they payed the same amount as they always have. They didn't charge a little more, they aren't doubling the profits. That is straight up price gouging.

    Haha yeah its not drugs.

But just because someone will pay doesn't make it right for someone to ask that much.

That is over twice what I payed, and likely 4 times what the dealer payed. There are other dealers I would bet would sell them at normal price, happy with the profits they would already make.. if they had 10 to sell.

Shit even double the normal profit margin.

But that is just like the sandy hook deal..

cheaper than dirt sold all the PMAGs they had, normally worth 12 bucks, for 90 something. While respectable companies like Midway USA who are normally more expensive bot only sold all they had without a markup, took thousands of backorders.

If supply and demand causes your price to go up, then the consumers price goes up. But if you are sitting on a stockpile with no increase in your bottom line, there is a point where you make a decision that money means more than being legitimate.

I could sell a brick for 1 buck considering it cost me 50 cents to produce or buy, after overhead and markup I still make 30 percent profit. But since this particular brick is now harder to get, I want 3 dollars. Sure I will take your money, because I am a dick.
