Turn the radio off and under light acceleration you will hear a sort of knocking noise around 1,500rpm. More noticeable with the A/C on. *if you don't hear it, you likely don't have the issue*

Yeah, it either takes a while to find the bugs or the 2014's are perfect.

    http://www.toyotaproblems.com/tsbs/Tacoma/

To be honest, the 2014 contains a lot of parts from earlier year Tacos, so any TSB effecting those parts will carry over to the new model. There are a bunch of TSB listing multi year's, including 2014. You just have to dig a bit deeper.

I just got a new '15. I didn't like the 31" antenna -- wanted something shorter. There are many options. You can go with these tiny stubby ones, but they get bad reviews for reception, and I think they look retarded. You can also get 7", 12", 14", 21" etc. I decided I wanted it much shorter, but didn't want to risk losing reception. I ordered this 12" from Amazon. Takes about 2 minutes to install. It looks really nice, and reception is fine.

The amazon page is cool. If you click on 12" the picture changes to show a truck with 12". And it changes for all the lengths so you can see what it will look like. I think 12" was a good trade-off between shorter, but good reception.

Is the reception as good with the 12" as it was with the stock one?

    Are floor mats a mod?
This is not the exact numbers, but the way my radio geek bud explained it is that the FM stations we listen to work on a wavelength that favors antennas in increments if 12", so 12, 24, etc. so I chopped my stock one to 24 and it works just as well as when it was 31"
