I'd rock a jeep, a ford, just about any old toyota or lexus before a 3rd gen.

The Ford was intimidating to me at first when sitting in the new ones and seeing all the features. Watching some videos has made everything a heck of a lot easier to swallow and understand. My truck is so old I'm not used to THAT many features.
Hands down Ford has Toyota beat with features. That new tailgate step is so frigging awesome. The LED lighting is genius! I road trip several times a year on a road that has a toll stop. The center console is huge and has an awesome coin holder.

I also love the Sport package. In the XLT it comes with a floor shifter, which I like.

Are you considering getting the EcoBoost?
When looking at the numbers the 4x4 super crew cab 3.7L V6 has just about the same EPA numbers as the 2.7L V6 EcoBoost. I have been doing some research and it seems that MPGs on the Eco's are very inconsistent because you have to be very careful not to constantly drive around on that boost, otherwise your milage will drop. Plus I will not be excited about having to rebuild a a turbo every few years depending on how durable that thing is. Ford claims it doesn't need to be rebuilt every 100k like the older ones, but who knows. I put about 20-22K miles a year on my truck so I want everything to be built for the long haul. 2016 or 17 the F150 should have an ecodiesel option to take on RAM. Might be something to think about.
