Been trying to think of cheap ways to increase backup light brightness. After much searching and disappointment I decided to try the Silverstar bulbs. Being that I have them as my headlights I thought what the heck.

    First pic. Stock bulbs.

Second pic. Silverstar on left, stock on right.

    Third pic. Both Silverstars.

Noticeable difference when standing beside the truck and looking back. Tried taking pictures but my camera sucks at night.
For 8 bucks I must say it was worth it. Hopefully they last longer than the headlights.

For my '04 the part number is 921st for the Silverstar's. Picked them up at the local Advance.

FWIW, for li little more light output, glue some tin foil (shiny side out) on the plastic of the reflector area of the tail light.

Hmmm, gonna check into this. My diff tails have big round clear rev lense but the bulbs are same ones so the silverstars should give another bump of extra rev lighting.

Chris, 01-04 have the chrome innards to reflect the light out. The tin foil thing may work on the 95.5-00.
