95 tacoma turns over but doesn't start

    have a 95 tacoma that turns over and does not start, fuel pump doesn't turn on and seems to have no spark , check fuses and relays still nothing ,check coil said its good. whats next

    Are you certain the fuel pump is working?

    And there is no spark?

    parked the truck and next day wouldn't start has a 4cylinder engine 2.4 no warning nothing

    fuel pump works when i jump it but not getting power to it ,not to certain on spark tried to see spark off wire but no luck when grounding it

    check fuse under hood and in cab and also check the open circuit relay

    Interesting, it is unusual for all of that to just stop working. It almost sounds as though the battery is dying or has a bad cell.

    Yes, but even if the battery is at a below normal voltage, the pump should still try to prime the system....

    It could be a number of things. It is just odd that it quit over night.

    Im kinda thinking a bad/loose connection. When hot, it could have been making just enough contact to work, but then when shut down, and cooled, that was it. :confused:

    Very possible. Or maybe even corroded battery terminal.

    Yeah, but the battery terminal would affect the turnin over first, as more amps are required......

    I still think the fuses need to be double checked.

    OP....Did you pull out all the fuses and look at them in the light? Sometimes they can be a little hard to see if broken.

    i'll double check the fuses but i what would cut the fuel pump and the ignition at the same time

    There isn't anything that effects them both that I can find besides the IGN switch itself.

    Wait, I see the IGN fuse fires the EFI relay. And if the EFI relay doesn't fire the pump doesnt run. Look there.
