Talk me out of it but I'm looking at what a Frontier pro-4x buys and dollar for dollar it looks like a better deal. Doesn't have "crawl" but a lot of stuff in there that you can't even get without going aftermarket or limited.

Daughter is a Toyota fan. I don't want her to put me in a bad old person home when I get there because she didn't inherit it when she finished high school. Sticking w the Taco.

Neighbors swear by Nissans but then again they also love their Audi. Which I see on a flatbed more than I see it driving.

Can't believe you actually thought about it. My wife's Honda Odyssey has higher ground clearance.

Anything that is part of VW is trash. Always chuckle when I see one being towed. Needless to say, I chuckle a lot.

Go on a frontier forum like this one for Tacoma's and read up on maintenance or other frontier related issues. Just like on this forum you will learn alot about the truck.
I had a 2wd frontier 10 years ago and it was a good truck. Mpg was around 18. I always liked the Tacoma's more but they started at $20k + used. The stealership prices the frontier at $14800 when it should of been $18400. I couldn't pass that mistake up. It took all day but I drove it home for $14800 +tags and fntax. I has it for 3 years and sold it for $13500. That's my frontier story.
If you don't have to have a Tacoma then the frontier is a good choice but it you have to have a Taco you will stear at them out of your new frontier and drool just like you do now. I no longer droll at other tacos because I have one of my own. Once again I bought it at a great price and it was owened and very well maintained by a friend

I traded my Frontier for my Tacoma. Good call deciding on the Tacoma you would have regretted the Frontier.

Frontier's aftermarket support is poor. Since you are looking at a Pro-4X, I assume you want to wheel. Do you plan to wheel a stock truck?

I rented a Frontier for a week while on vacation in Cali. See my review here: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/nissan-frontier-quirks-and-oddities.340658/ If the Taco didn't exist, I trust the Frontier more than a Colorado.

    The better coast

Isn't the cup holder suppose to come out to accommodate bigger bottles?

An old roommate had a frontier. It was nice but nothing special. I am not a fan of how they look but to each their own.

Sad thing I think most people on this thread probably never drove one before.

I have and there is nothing wrong with the truck. It does some things better than the Tacoma and some things worst.

I would not listen to the posters who automatically dis the Frontier. Take one for a test drive and decide for yourself.
