While there is a few good traits about the Frontier. The Tacoma has been outselling it for 10 years now for good reason.
My friend has one, been in it, drove it. Don't want one. If that makes my a fanboy, so be it.

I owned a pathfinder and had a frontier for a work truck a few years ago. They both had more get up and go than the Tacoma but everything about both of them seemed so cheap and ready to break.

Nope, that does not make you a fanboy. You drove both trucks and came to a decision the Tacoma was the better of the two for your needs. Makes you smart in my opinion.

I did the same thing. Bought the Tacoma but when I drove the Frontier I realized that at least for the second gen it came very close and for some people it might be better for them than the Tacoma

On a Toyota forum dissing fanboys is stupid.... Did you not expect fanboys to get on here? It's a TOYOTA TACOMA forum, and most of the time those of us who care enough to be on here are fanboys....

That has not been my experience driving the Frontier. Its engine has more peak power but isn't as quick off the line. Probably a combination of poor gearing ratios and a worse torque curve.

My brother in law has a new Frontier Pro 4x. I like the Tacoma interior MUCH better. You have to remove 2 skid plates on the Frontier to change the oil and filter, no joke. If you do your own maintenance that is a deal breaker to me.
