I bought one of the remote keys for sale here. I'm wondering if any of you know a locksmith that can cut my key and program it? Preferably on the East side, or mebbe one that comes to you?

I don't want to go to the dealer for sure.

    Thanks!

No. Good guess. You got the color right. I missed out on the beadlocks @arcadewilco was selling. Didn't have enough cash at the time. Will take pics next week when I get tires.

Hey guys, pretty new here...bought my truck in Jan and I've been slowly working on it, but not fast enough to to warrant a build page.

When I bought my truck at Findlay, I was entitled to the "tires for life" program which replaces my tires for free for the life of my truck.

    Does anyone else have this?

That's a good offer. I purchased mine 3 weeks ago...should've waited until this weekend for the free registration :annoyed:.

Anyway, while we are on the subject of tires; is it really necessary to rebuild tpms when purchasing new tires? I went to discount today to see how what the damage would be for BFG KO2 and Michelin LTX AT2. Was told that I'd be charged $30 in order to rebuild the TPMS because the units are going into new tires. My truck only has a little over 1,0xx miles right now...so it seems ridiculous that tpms would need to be rebuilt for new tires.

Scam or truly necessary? What's the consensus on this?

They aren't rebuilt. They move them to the new wheels and need new sealing O rings. Thus $30.

It is definitely recommended to put new o rings in let me know what size and what tires you're looking for I might be able to beat there price

I had it on my tx pro deal , but youd literally have to rune the tires totally bald, or they prorate new ones base on tread left.
I lifted my truck so they werent big enough, gave em to my brother for his 2008

Recommended...but is it necessary? 265/70 R17. Below are quotes from Discount for the tires I asked them about.
    • BFG KO2 @ $200ea.
    • Michelin LTX AT2 @ $201ea.
    • Michelin LTX MS2 @ $190ea.

Was it $30 on top of the cost to mount and balance them? I probably got taken at the stealership, but when I threw new wheels on they charged me $20 per wheel to mount and balance my tires which included the TPMS. So $80 total. Is that crazy?

I don't mind running them down in order to save $900 on tires every time. They also said I could upgrade the tires and just pay the difference in the cost of the tire. So an upgrade to B/F KO2 285s would only cost me ~$60 per tire.

I had them replaced on my wife's 2009 Nissan recently. The batteries only last 6-9 years. I had just bought new tires there 2 months before and one had died, low battery. They replaced all 4, remounted tires and balanced for $190. If I hadn't got new tires so soon, it would of been $270.
