Since I already replaced this part before figure I just unbolt it to help with the work ahead.

I've been looking at salvage auctions on Tacoma's. You'll be surprised what can be found. I saw a few that would be great for this project but I just dont have the cash yet.

Is there anyone that's researched something like this and what I should look out for while looking at them. Any Info would be appreciated.

Not yet, my wife wants to go to rescue shelters today to pick up a dog. So I'm done working on the truck for today. But I'll let you know when I'm ready.

    You're an animal Ray!

You don't waste any time. Sheesh it took me 2 weeks to gather all the parts to fix my front end. You're gonna have a motor swap done in that time.

Should get pulled off in the next half an hour. I found coolant in the oil pan. I was taking off the oil pan to help clear the crossmember in the frame.

Big thanks to @BDN for letting me borrow his cherry picker. It's out. Still a lot of work ahead. Going to pull the wiring harness and clean it up and any welding that needs to get done.

    image.jpg

Stupid Luquid gasket that I used on the oil pan when I changed the timing chain didn't want to give. So I pulled out some ratchet straps to help get it out.

Well Ray, this may be a setback, but the Ghost will truly be the truck that Ray built when you're done.

How many miles were on that motor?
