I found a small crack in my battery due to pressure from the hold down. This battery is only a year old so it would be a waste to get a new one. I'm curious if anyone else has had a problem similar to this and fixed the crack. If so, how did you fix it?

If it is indeed cracked completely through the case.

you can try all sorts of things But the acid will still leak out.

Did this back a good many years ago pretty much to see if it could be done.

About the best way is to remove all the acid then flush let it set for a few weeks .

Then vee out the crack some and use plastic weld epoxy let cure.

The thing is most all epoxies will not bond in contact with any acid.

Although new things are always being invented

Since I buy so many batteries a year I would not even given it a thought just got a new one

    Should be covered under warranty.

I'll go to the place were I bought it on Monday and see if it can be covered under warranty. Regardless, this is a very small crack probably a little over 5 millimeters in length.

It wouldn't be covered under warranty if you caused it.....but if it just happened to crack out of the blue....

Just dont say you used anything aftermarket or overtightened anything.

Is it really a crack or a cut in the plastic from something sharp???
